I'm not sure if there already is a Tetris thread, but it's such a cool game I thought there should be one. :)

I thought it would be a good idea to have a sort of on going competition. Using this game we compete to see who can get the highest score.

Rules:
No lying, pretty obvious, but it just ruins it for everyone if you lie about your score.

Use the same game. Freetetris.org. Means the scoring will be the same, etc.

You start on level 1, just to get an even playing field. Even if you can get a huge score on level 10, and can play for hours on that level, doesn't mean you will be able to get to that level. You catch my drift?

When showing your score, show the score overall you got, the number of lines you achieved, and the level you got to.

I'll start:

Score: 19678
Lines: 81
Level: 9

It's not that good, lol, so anybody got higher? Or you can just post your highest score, and see where you rank compared to other people. :)

N.B. the score can be a bit difficult to read. The 7 looks kind of like a backwards G. If you can't work out what it says, memorise what it looks like or write it down, then go to the front page again and scroll through the level options. ;) (I got rather confused with my 7. :lol:)

I remember doing something like this about a year ago. Except the version I used actually had a scoreboard that kept track of everyone's high scores for the site. However, I think that site has been taken down.

I have to say that the controls on this one are, um, really non-responsive. Plus, the background color pallette selection isn't the best choice, as sometimes I can't tell if a spot is filled or not.

Feel free to suggest a different site. :) I'll edit my first post to the suggested one, so there isn't any confusion then.

Oh I love Tetris! I used to play it with my cousins and my brother every summer during vacation at my grandma's house.

This is my score after warming up and getting frustrated at my stupid computer for not reading my keyboard :rolleyes: :p

I played tetris for a few hours this afternoon and I'd like to than whoever started this thread for making me become addicted to tetris again.

I never made it past level 3.
