Terrorist plot thwarted in London

Indeed, it's a nightmare at the airports at the moment. I work in travel insurance, so for the past 4 hours I've been pulling my hair out. :eek:
 
I read it in the newspaper this morning (online) and then immediately switched on the TV to listen to the news.

Wishing everyone good luck who's at heathrow and actually at all airports throughout the world, because I've heard it's pretty hectic.. when does this ever end..

just wanna say thank you VERY much to our Police and MI5 for doing their jobs so well and keeping us all safe from all those who to hurt us
 
Woot, that's really creepy. I was supposed to fly tomorrow.. I'm lucky I flew earlier. Good work from the British authorities.

Terrorism sucks. I don't get what you accomplish with it.
 
Yeah I heard about this on the radio this morning. Both US and UK have tightened security, there was also something about not being allowed to bring any liquids onto the planes. Scary stuff.
 
just heard it on the news, was in london today but didnt really know the extent of it til now, its so horrible, must congratulate MI5 and all the police involved in stopping it.
 
Wow, I never realized just how much this impacted US airports. Now the only tolietries/liquids allowed on the plane are deoderant and something else (I forget what it is)

My prayers are with all of you in the UK, and here in the US as well.
 
Those a------- crap don't they have anything better to do- that's so wierd that you posted this- i was doing my paper work for work and watching my local news in the background-- and they've delayed all flights into and out of McCarran here in Vegas- and you can't bring on shampoo-toothpaste and a whole variety of other things- so thank god they've stopped these crazed idiots--again-- so we have to live in constant fear of these low-lifes--- and always be nervous and worried about what's next- :( :( :(are all your airports closed and delayed too wherever you are?
 
OMG, Sea-Tac, Seattle/Tacoma Int'l airport had lines out the door, way more than normal security.
My friend works for America West, now US Air, and he says it's ridiculous how the lines are to get on a flight and how passengers are actually taking it well here, that is what I have heard,He said almost worse than 9/11, ALMOST!
I read it on our local news website, I'm afraid to turn it on infront of my family. :(
 
I heard it on the news. It's horrifying to hear that it could have been worse than 9/11 if it had taken place. I'm relieved and very glad they uncovered the plot. I pray there won't be any more of these events in the future. The world's seen and had enough of terrorism.
 
I'm working at a business travel agency and I can tell it was a pretty busy day, because we have lots of clients travelling to London or coming home from London (or another airport), so I told everything about 20 times that day, but I think in the end everything went well. I heard Heatrow is open again, and everything will fly, although with delays. We'll see, it's gonna be another interesting day.
 
I am going to greece tomorrow very early. I'm hoping for no delays on that from the whole London/USA stuff... but I'll see. We are leaving a bit earlier than planned to the airport just to be sure!
 
It was all over the news here and it shocked me when I saw it. My sister is supposed to fly to Greece tomorrow and she won't take any hand luggage with her to avoid trouble.
It's sad that there are people in the world that think they could change the world for their own good in such ways.
Just hope they'll be able to stop it in time if someone tries something like that again...
