Terminology

I am not sure where this question should go or if it has already been asked, but here goes....

I recently watched the entire 1st season of CSI:NY and I noticed how many times they use the word "bodego" (sp?)....Danny mentioned it once saying he left Aiden with one, I think Mac used it once during a case....anyway, what does this word mean????? Is it how they refer to a DB???

If you mean bodega, The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as: A small grocery store, sometimes combined with a wineshop, in certain Hispanic communities.

Thanks so much Dynamo1!!!! That makes more sense. I thought I had heard them refer to a store as a bodega ...and I heard Danny use it in the pilot episode saying he stuck Aiden on the bodega so he could help Mac. Yay for not being confused anymore!!!!!
