These ladies put down their guns for a day of high fashion.
A photo shoot at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna, California brought actresses from three CBS crime dramas together. Lauren Lee Smith (Riley Adams) from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) from CSI: Miami and Cote de Pablo from NCIS donned couture fashions for a spring issue of CBS Watch! magazine. The women represent three of the most successful dramas on CBS.
"We're here to capture the sultry ladies of crime," said Angelique O'Neil, the creative director for CBS Watch!. "We're taking them out of the world of crime wear and bringing them into the world of high fashion." Cliff Lipson was the man behind the camera. "This shoot, think Charlie's Angels but couture gown, beautiful hair, hot, sexy makeup and three incredibly beautiful women just busting up the lens," Lipson explained.
The glamorous photo shoot is a far cry from the actresses' usual job playing crime fighters on their TV shows. "Yesterday we were in the medical examiner's office, looking at a guy who killed himself in a deep fryer," Smith told the OC Register. "And now I'm in Laguna, wearing designer clothes." Wearing a plush robe and slippers, Smith said, "This is like getting to indulge in all my girly fantasies."
La Rue shared similar sentiments about taking part in the photo shoot. "I was interrogating a bad guy this morning," she said. "This is the glamorous side of the business." The actress added, "It's like playing dress-up – it never gets old." De Pablo, who plays Ziva David on NCIS, said "Oh my God, this is so much fun." One of her shots involved wearing a couture gown while perched in a tree. "You ask any actor who plays a cop, this is a dream," the actress said. De Pablo added that between working on her TV show and participating in bonuses like the high-glamour fashion shoot, "It's the best job in the world."
The original article is from the OC Register.
