CSI Files

Captain
<font size="3">Hello World!</font>

I finally made it back from my Vegas vacation!

Well, remove that exclamation point and that's actually how I feel, seeing as they had to force me on the plane. I didn't want to leave! When my sister told me we'd be there for 9 days I was reluctant. 9 days? The whole place is like, what, 2 blocks? But as it turns out there's so much to do there that we actually left without seeing a bunch of things.

And no, I didn't marry a complete stranger in a drunken stupor. God, I came home to find out all these people were 100% sure I'd tie the knot over there. I think there was even a pool going around. Shame on you all, for having no faith in me. It would take more than a single Cosmo to get me inside an Elvis Chapel. Unless you show me one of them candy rings I say no way, good sir. This girl has standards. Now, make it three Cosmos and a basket of mozzarella sticks and we'll talk.

I heard the CSI cast was in town filming some scenes, but we had so much to do I honestly didn't even think to go out and look for them. I do remember they were filming something in front of the Bellagio, but we didn't have the time to stop and confirm if it was CSI or not. And to think, I may have walked by <font color=yellow>The Dourdan</font> once or twice. The waste! Next time I promise I'll keep three eyes open.

As for fun, we went to the Grand Canyon, flew over the Hoover Dam, rented a car and drove to LA, saw two Cirque Du Soleil shows, gambled, won 50 bucks, then cried when I found out <font color=yellow>George Eads</font> won $20,000 (the credit bureau was especially disappointed), and basically walked and danced and walked and danced until I had blisters on my feet. Needless to say, we had a hell of a blast. Of course, today I woke up with a nasty flu. What's that called? Karma, perhaps? Vegas, you cold-hearted bastard!

It's good to be back, everyone! And thanks to <font color=yellow>Christian</font> for taking over my job while I was gone.

p.s - I did take a bunch of pictures, but I haven't had the time to... okay, I'm lazy... upload them yet. Maybe next week.

<font size="3">Talk CSI Files threads</font>

Below are some of the topics currently being discussed at Talk CSI:

- Something smells in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation forum, and it ain't bacon. Talk about Hank, Sara's ex-beau. Not a beloved character, it seems.

- Is there really such a thing as a cast that's 'too pretty?' Maybe. Talk about the New York cast and their prettiness at the CSI: New York board.

- But have you ever worn a raccoon suit and jumped into a fur pile? Talk about the things you've done because of CSI in the General Discussion board.

[*]Zuiker: Women Drive 'CSI', Personal Success
At a special appearance on the Charlie Rose Show, <font color=yellow>Anthony Zuiker</font> revealed who wears the pants in the CSI viewership. "Women drive viewership on television, and women love this show," he said. "You'd think because of the gore, they wouldn't like it, but they love it."

[*]Alexander To Help Raise AIDS Awareness
<font color=yellow>Khandi Alexander</font> (Dr. Alexx Woods) took part in "Voices From the Frontlines," an event aimed to raise awareness on the global HIV/AIDS crisis. CSI series creator Anthony Zuiker will be turning 37 years young on August 17. Happy birthday, Mr. Zuiker, from everyone at CSI Files!

<font size="3">Television Listings</font>

<ul>[*]Tonight at 10:00pm, CBS will be repeating CSI: Miami's "Addiction." Here's how the network describes the episode:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>"When Kay Coleman is killed in what looks like a carjacking, the CSIs talk to her husband, Sal Coleman, the oldest of the three Coleman brothers who run their lucrative family business. However, when it is revealed that Kay had a gambling addiction that could have bankrupted the company, the team must follow the evidence to find the killer. Meanwhile, Alexx hires a recovering alcoholic as a body hauler and must investigate when he is accused of stealing from the dead."

</font></blockquote>

[*]On Wednesday at 10:00pm, you'll be able to watch a repeat of CSI: New York's "Tri-Borough." CBS describes the episode as follows:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>"The team tackles a series of complicated investigations when murdered victims are found in three New York City boroughs. Mac and Stella investigate the murder of a young man found dead in a Brooklyn subway station. Although the victim was electrocuted, the train's third rail is not the likely culprit. Danny and Det. Maka (guest star Kelly Hu) examine the death of an art gallery owner whose final sale was a painting with mob ties that may have been forged. Meanwhile, Aiden and Det. Flack work on the mysterious death of a worker found dead on a construction site."

</font></blockquote>

[*]Finally, on Thursday at 9:00pm, CBS has scheduled a repeat of the original CSI's "Iced." This is what you can expect from the episode:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>"When a popular college basketball player doesn't turn up for a big game, a fellow dorm resident finds him and a pretty young student dead on a sleeping bag in his dorm room. CSIs Sara and Greg reach one dead end after another as they try to solve the mystery of why the two young students were killed. Meanwhile, Catherine and her team look into the death of young man whose body was found in a "crop circle" that shows no outward or inward signs of what killed him."

</font></blockquote>[/list]

In addition to the above episodes on CBS, cable channel SpikeTV will of course continue its daily CSI repeats.<center></center>
