CSI Files
Captain
<font size="3">Hello World!</font>
This week, CSI and CSI: New York will be closing their seasons with "Grave Danger" and "What You See Is What You See" respectively. "Grave Danger", if you've figured out by now (because it's getting so little press), was directed by <font color=yellow>Quentin Tarantino</font>. Today, I saw three promos for the episode and I would voice my opinion on them but the three hits of thorazine I had to take after are making it a bit hard for me to type. Let's just say I had a bit of a freak out. Yes, this episode will make me cry my eyes out. No, I won't tell you why because I know a lot of you are spoiler free. And if you think the three CSI free summer months will be unbearable, we'll be starting a support group in the message boards. So join us. There will be donuts.
Have fun watching the finales!

<font size="3">CSI Files Two Years Ago</font>
Here's what was hot back in early May of 2003:
<ul>[*]'CSI' Smacked Down By 'Friends'
Not so friendly after all, an episode of Friends two years ago beat out the CSI season 3 finale, Inside The Box. The episode received a 15.1 rating/24 share in the 9 p.m. hour, but was no matched by the now gone sitcom, which averaged 15.4/26 of the share.
[*]Zuiker Awarded Honorary Doctorate
The University of Nevada two years ago gave CSI creator <font color=yellow>Anthony Zuiker</font> an honorary doctorate of human letters. "The university means a great deal to me," Zuiker said of his alma mater. "I had great relationships with professors on campus who guided me through my years here. I have always had the same dreams: win an Oscar, win an Emmy, and receive a doctorate."
[*]Zuiker Up For Third 'CSI' Series
Back in May of 2003, CSI and Miami were getting ready to make room for baby, as Anthony Zuiker contemplated the idea of expanding the franchise again. "I don't have story lines, but I do have an actor in mind, a city — it's an American city — and a tone in my head," Zuiker said. "That launch will be brutal. Launching CSI: Miami nearly killed us, thinking of two separate regimes of casts, and we got off to a rough start — but it's worked out well." The second spin-off's setting, New York, ended up surprising everyone. "Chicago would be terrific," Zuiker added two years ago. Well, they still have ER. [/list]

<ul>[*]CBS will tonight air the brand new CSI: Miami episode, "Whacked". Here's a brief description of the penultimate episode of the season:
<font color=yellow><blockquote>"A killer on death row is given a stay of execution just moments before it was to take place, on the grounds that there may have been tainted DNA analysis used at his trial. Now, without using any DNA evidence, the team must race against time and reexamine all of the physical evidence in the case, just as they get a call on a new double murder that looks suspiciously like the case they're working on."
</font></blockquote>
[*]CSI: New York closes its freshman year on Wednesday night with "What You See Is What You See". Here's a preview of the episode:
<font color=yellow><blockquote>"While Mac dines at his local breakfast spot, a gunman opens fire, leaving a waitress critically injured and a man dead, and Mac having to choose whether to chase after the suspect or save the life of the young woman. Meanwhile, before the chaos, Mac was approached by a shy patron who awkwardly engaged him in conversation. After feeling that he saved her life during the shoot out, she asks him to join her for a drink and Mac must decide if he is ready to start dating after his wife's tragic death."
</font></blockquote>
[*]CSI will also be saying goodnight to its 5th season with the special two-hour episode "Grave Danger". The episode will air at a special time, 8/9c. Here's a brief synopsis:
<font color=yellow><blockquote>"After learning that a member of their team has been kidnapped and buried alive, the two CSI teams come together to try to save one of their own."
</font></blockquote>
[*]And if you're not ready to let go of your weekly, primetime CSI fixes, CBS will be airing CSI repeats all weekend long. On Saturday at 9:00pm, they've scheduled a rerun of CSI: New York's "Rain". If you missed it the first time, here's a dry run:
<font color=yellow><blockquote>"A Chinatown robbery by three men goes south when one security guard is killed and the other mistakenly fires shots at a gas tank, burning two of the robbers alive. While investigating the heist, Stella uncovers a kidnapping plot involving the bank’s manager. Also, the team must find new clues when the kidnappers' ransom drop spot is blocked by an unannounced police terrorist response drill."
</font></blockquote>
[*]A repeat of CSI will air on Sunday night at 9pm. Here's a preview of the season 3 episode "Lucky Strike":
<font color=yellow><blockquote>"A man driving with a wooden stake in his head dies in front of a casino. Grissom and Nick work to discover the 'vampire" killer. Warrick and Catherine hunt for the killer of a NBA star's 5 year old son."
</font></blockquote>
[*]And last but not least, the network will be airing an episode of CSI: Miami on Sunday night as well. Identity is set to air at 10pm. In case you don't remember it, here's a preview:
<font color=yellow><blockquote>"When the CSIs find a woman swallowed whole and killed by a gigantic snake, they uncover a covert drug smuggling operation. Evidence leads Horatio and the team to a drug smuggling operation where large snakes are suspected of be being used to bring illegal drugs into the country to avoid detection by customs. However, when Horatio finds that Clavo Cruz, a nemesis of Horatio's who hides behind his diplomatic immunity, may be behind the operation, the team must find a legal way to put the criminal behind bars. Meanwhile, Wolfe must find the truth when two women each claim that they are the real victim of identity theft and the other is the culprit."
</font></blockquote>
