CSI Files
Captain
Hello World!
This New Year started out with some magnificent news for me. No, I'm not pregnant. No, I'm not getting married. Something ten times better than the two combined: Blockbuster Video has decided to stop charging its clients for late returns. I'm sure a lot of you sat in front of your television sets with a single tear running down your cheek, as I did, when you first saw the commercial. It was a thing of beauty. So, like any other regular-minded denizen of the world, I ran to the nearest store with the intention of keeping the fourth season of CSI in my possession for a while. Not long, really. Four, five months tops. Eight months later I returned to Blockbuster only to be greeted with a very alienating looking late fee.
Confusion set in. But... I remember the commercial well. People were dancing, celebrating the end of late fees! There was singing. There was joy. Central Casting extras were waving candles in the air. Surely, I'm not crazy. Imagine my surprise (nay, disdain!) when the 13 year old behind the counter tells me that in order to take advantage of the 'no late fees' offer, I have to pay a monthly fee. Confusion set on top of my confusion. But... but the singing. The dancing. What happened to the joy? "Yeah, I'm sure you do know William Petersen, lady. I'm sure he can do away with my job, yes. Now, cough it up."
What gives, Blockbuster? If I can't count on you to perpetuate my procrastination, who can I count on? Who will my children, and their children's children, turn to after a day of junk food and video games? Well, rest assured I will be writing a strongly worded letter about this!

Below are some of the topics currently being discussed at Talk CSI:
- At the CSI: Miami board, our Spanish friend Duende would like to know: will there ever be a resolution to the Horatio and Yelina and Stetler (oh, my!) storyline? Discuss the complicated love triangle here.
- You know him as CSI's lovable coroner, David Philips. I know him as the future Mr. Rivera. Show your love for Super Dave (and David Berman) at the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation forum.
- Admit it: you've thought about it, too. Which CSI are you most like? Inquiring minds at the General CSI Discussion forum would like to know.

[*]100th Member Joins Talk CSI
Seems like it was yesterday when only 99 people used to roam around in our message boards. Today, Talk CSI has over 2840 members (and counting). Let's give ourselves a hand!
[*]Alliance Atlantis Cuts Back TV Division
Alliance Atlantis, the people responsible for the production of CSI, reduced the company's workforce by 4% when they got rid of 33 staff members in various field offices. However, spokesperson Kym Robertson guaranteed the production of CSI and CSI: Miami would not suffer due to the firings.
[*]Helgenberger On The Acting Business
Actress Marg Helgenberger had some good advice for all aspiring actors. "Talent is such a small fraction of what makes a successful movie star, because it's so much about other things: drive and passion and whatever you want to be."[/list]

The team discovers his car is covered with acetone, which traces back to one of the female guests. She reveals that she dated Laken and he dumped her, so she doused his car with nail polish remover for revenge, but she didn't kill him. Now, when Horatio and the team learn that Laken recently witnessed a serious assault at a Miami Heat basketball game, they are on the hunt for two perps instead of one."
