<font size="3">Hello World!</font>

March 8th is International Women's Day. So if you're a woman, or a women's supporter, put the apron down, burn a couple of bras (and some razors, while you're at it), and celebrate by eating as much chocolate as you can without feeling guilty about the gain weight.

If you're wondering how International Women's Day came to be, here's a quick rundown (courtesy of Wikipedia:

It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women. Amongst other relevant historic events, it commemorates the Triangle Factory Fire (New York, 1911), where over 140 women lost their lives.

The idea of having an international women's day was first put forward at the turn of the 20th century amid rapid world industrialization and economic expansion that led to protests over working conditions. Women from clothing and textile factories staged one such protest on March 8th, 1857 in New York City. The garment workers were protesting what they saw as very poor working conditions and low wages. The protesters were attacked and dispersed by police. These women established their first labour union in the same month two years later.

Pretty cool, huh? And for those of you keeping tab, my favorite female historic figure is Amelia Earhart. Wings, baby!

<ul>[*]CSI: Miami returns tonight at 10 p.m. after a repeat with the brand new "Money Plane". Here's a description of the episode:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>"Someone uses a laser light to blind a pilot and bring down a jet, which carries over one billion dollars in checks to be delivered to banks on the eastern seaboard. The crime scene evidence reveals a victim, a young fundraising socialite, who was inside the plane but killed prior to the crash. Now, although the team has little to work with since the victim's wealthy family is opposing an autopsy, Horatio must follow the money trail. Meanwhile, Calleigh works on a case with her ex-boyfriend, Det. Hagen, and their romantic history could cause problems for both of them."

</font></blockquote>

[*]At 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, CBS will air CSI: New York's rerun of "American Dreamers". Here's a preview:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>"When a tourist discovers a skeleton on a Times Square double-decker tour bus, the CSIs must investigate whether the remains were left there as a practical joke or if the person was murdered. After closely examining the remains, Dr. Hawkes discovers that the victim was likely a Caucasian male teenager who died from a blow to the head more than 10 years ago. Their search leads them to a bus station and a missing boy who disappeared in 1987. The team must then piece together the clues to find out how the boy really died and who was to blame."

</font></blockquote>

[*]Like Miami, CSI will also returns on Thursday night at 9/8 c with a new episode. Here's a description of "Compulsion":

The fingerprint is linked to Jesse Acheson, who becomes the prime suspect in the case.
