Captain
<font size="3">Hello World!</font>

It's hard to believe the fall is almost here. As usual, the summer has raced by and we're only about a week and a half away from September. And about a month away from the fall premieres.

I've been seeing promos for CSI: New York all summer. Pretty much everytime I turn on a rerun of CSI or CSI: Miami, I catch a glimpse of <font color=yellow>Gary Sinise</font> and <font color=yellow>Melina Kanakaredes</font> during the commercial break. It's a clever marketing campaign, especially given the fact that the CSI show reruns are thriving in the ratings this summer.

I'm really looking forward to the New York premiere, in large part because of creator <font color=yellow>Anthony Zuiker</font>'s promise that we'll get more than the occasional glimpse into the character's lives. It seems with each CSI show, we learn a little bit more about our heroes, and the characters of New York will have rich backstories.

I've always been a fan of character-driven drama. One of my favorite crime dramas, Homicide: Life on the Street, perfectly balanced subtle character development with gripping storylines. The CSI shows have no problem getting wonderful actors or creating interesting characters, but I'm looking forward to a CSI show that explores its characters a bit more in depth.
