CBS today released the promo video of the new episode of CSI, which airs next week.
In "Shooting Stars," a middle of the night break-in at a suburban home on the edge of the Vegas desert leads the CSIs to discover an abandoned military compound being used to house a small cult. Once inside, they discover a mass suicide has taken place. However, with 11 bodies and 12 beds, Grissom surmises that the killer may be the one body missing. Executive producer <font color=yellow>Danny Cannon</font> wrote and directed the episode.

[Grissom stands next to a patrol car, in the desert, with his straw hat on. He's looking into the horizon.]<dd>[Text-over: 'Thursday.']<dd>[He and Catherine find an underground bunk. They descend into it carefully.]<dd>Grissom: "This looks like some sort of observation post."<dd>[Once inside, Grissom opens a door and walks in slowly.]<dd>[Catherine follows him. They both look around with their flashlights in hand.]<dd>[The camera pulls back to reveal they're in a room. There are beds lined up and bodies in all of them ala Heaven's Gate.]<dd>[We see them from a different angle and it's obvious now they're all dead.]<dd>[Grissom and Catherine look at them, mortified.]<dd>Grissom: "I count 11."<dd>Catherine: "Me too."

[A body is wheeled out through a dark tunnel as Nick arrives at the scene.]<dd>[Text-over: 'The most watched TV drama.']<dd>[Nick looks around with his flashlight. He can't believe what he's seeing.]<dd>Nick: "What is this place, another Jonestown?"<dd>[He joins Catherine and they continue to look around. <dd>[Grissom has found another room, this one with a huge projector. The images appear on the ceiling. Grissom looks up.]<dd>[Grissom comes up with a theory.]<dd>Grissom: "They were timing their ascension to the meteor shower."<dd>[Shot of the night sky as hundreds of shooting stars fly across the sky.]<dd>[Close-up of Grissom.]<dd>Grissom: "I'm sure if there's something out there they're wise enough to stay away from us."<dd>

The wind is blowing and they're enveloped by a white light.]<dd>[From inside the bunker, we see a white light envelop the sky.]<dd>[Suddenly, something moves behind Grissom and Catherine. They turn, Catherine draws her gun.]<dd>Catherine: "Who's there?"
