Season Premiere Details Revealed

CSI Files

Captain
Information about the new season comes to light for all three members of the <I>CSI</I> franchise.<p>CSI Files previously posted a <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/news/130709_02.shtml">spoiler report</a> for the premiere of <I>CSI: Miami</I>'s eighth season. Spoilers are always subject to change, and <I>Miami</I>'s premiere is no exception. The original details that suggested <font color=yellow>Rory Cochrane</font> would reprise his role as Tim Speedle in the episode's flashback have become more vague. Now it is not known whether Speedle will return.<p>One person that will definitely appear in the flashback is <font color=yellow>Eddie Cibrian</font>. As CSI Files previously <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/news/250609_01.shtml">reported</a>, Cibrian will be a series regular starting in season eight. In the flashback, Cibrian's character will cross paths with at least one of the main characters. Executive producer <font color=yellow>Ann Donahue</font> told <A class="link" HREF="http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/">Ausiello</a> that the original reports indicating that Cibrian's character would be transferring from the Hollywood division are "a misnomer... He's actually worked robbery homicide in L.A."<p>Donahue also revealed how the season premiere will begin. Eric Delko (<font color=yellow>Adam Rodriguez</font>) will be found "in the first two minutes and he is unconscious," she told Ausiello. The character's trip to the hospital transitions into the episode's flashback. "The ambulance is hurtling down alligator alley and we [close in] on the license plate, which says '09. And then we change the license plate to '97 and suddenly he's in his tow truck." The <I>Miami</I> premiere will air September 21 at 10:00pm ET/PT.<p>Over on <I>CSI: New York</I>, the premiere of season six will finally answer the question of who was injured in the shootout at the end of the season five finale, <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season5/pay_up.shtml">"Pay Up"</a>. According to CSI Files sources, Danny Messer (<font color=yellow>Carmine Giovinazzo</font>) was caught in the crossfire and finds himself in a wheelchair at the start of the new season. <A class="link" HREF="http://www.tvguide.com/">TV Guide</a> indicates that his injuries will be a "major obstacle" that add to the pressure as he and fellow CSI Lindsay Monroe (<font color=yellow>Anna Belknap</font>) try to balance work, marriage and caring for their young daughter, Lucy. The premiere airs September 23 at 10:00pm ET/PT.<p>Details have also been revealed for the premiere of <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I>'s tenth season, which will air on September 24 at 9:00pm ET/PT. A young actress whose career is on the rise gets killed in a car accident. Her stalker takes credit for her death, but the team soon discovers that there is more to the story.<p>The original information about <I>Miami</I>'s premiere is from <A class="link" HREF="http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/07/ask-ausiello-spoilers-on-greys-bones-and-more/comments/page/2/">Ausiello</a>. The promise of obstacles for Danny and Lindsay on <I>New York</I> comes from <A class="link" HREF="http://www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-Bones-CSI-1007816.aspx?rss=news&partnerid=spi&profileid=05">TV Guide</a>. I think the Miami premiere sounds pretty interesting - I'm curious to see how Cibrian fits with the rest of the cast. I'm still crossing my fingers that Rory might show up, but I'm not holding my breath. :p

The fact that Danny will be in a wheelchair could either be very interesting and well-done...or a very bad idea. I guess we'll see how they handle it this season. :)

I don't watch Miami, a certain character grates on my last nerve, but this episode sounds interesting so I think I might just watch it.

I crossing my fingers on the Danny story. It definately could go either way!

I knew it would be Danny! What do you want to bet that a bullet goes through a glass and ricochets and hits him in the leg/back?

The Miami thing could be interesting, but at the same time, could damage the show's credibility in some ways. It's a very risky type of episode to do on a procedural show.

I'm excited about all the premieres!

And cool that my guess about it being Danny who was injured is right. :D He's the emotional heart of CSI: NY, and I think him being hurt will affect everyone in one way or another, so he's a good choice. It will also be interesting to see how he handles it. And Flack--first his girlfriend is killed, and then his best friend is injured? I want to know how he reacts.

The Miami premiere sounds awesome--I think it will be fun to flash back to the early days of Delko's career, though I'll be bummed if Speed isn't around! Would love to see him again. It's awesome that Alexx is back though--sounds like Dr. Price might be gone for good. I'm curious as to how Eddie Cibrian's character will be worked in.

Dangit, I forgot to mention that the bullet fragment in Delko's head is most likely the one that has been in there for a while - the spoiler report was potentially misleading about that, and I was going to state as much in this article...*grumble grumble* I should have made a note next to the computer.

Looks like those rumours about Danny being the one who gets injured were right after all. The season 8 premiere for Miami is looking to be interesting. Looking forward to the season premieres.

Not to age myself, but the first thought that came to my mind when I read about Danny in the wheelchair was Ironside. A tv show in the 70s whose main character solved crimes all while being in a wheelchair..

Not to be facetious..it just came to mind.

I am not so invested in NY as before and the spoilers are not exactly inspiring to watch.

Miami got better last season so I am interested in the flashbacks about how it started.

And vegas is the one that I am more curious and the one that I never find something.:scream:
