Roswell's Brendan Fehr Cast On 'CSI: Miami'

CSI Files

Captain
Brendan Fehr, who starred for three years as Michael Guerin on the WB (and later UPN) show Roswell, announced last week he has been hired for a recurring role on CSI: Miami.

"I am writing to let everyone who cares [...] that I have taken a recurring gig on CSI:Miami as the new A/V Tech [...] Dan Cooper," Fehr wrote on his official site. "I've shot the first 2 episodes of the season and am scheduled to do the 3rd. It's just a recurring gig, one or two scenes a show, every couple or 3, 4 shows."

Fehr was born in 1977 in New Westminster, Canada, and thought he was going to be a teacher until, only a few days before starting at the University of Manitoba, he decided to pursue his real dream and try to make it as an actor. He landed guest roles on shows such as Millennium, Night Man and The New Addams Family, before being cast as the human/alien hybrid on science-fiction show Roswell. During that show's final seaon, he worked together with Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko), who played a young attorney who eventually ended up marrying one of the show's main characters. On meeting Adam again on the CSI: Miami set, Fehr wrote the two "had a nice talk since we haven't in a while."

Dan Cooper is one of several new recurring characters that will be appearing on CSI: Miami next season. As was recently reported, viewers will meet both Horatio Caine's former priest and his ex-wife as part of a major story arc involving the Miami lead character. In addition, Eva LaRue was recently cast as new series regular Natalia Boa Vista (story). According to Fehr's web site, the actor was pleased he did not have to make a similar long-term commitment to Miami. "It's actually a really sweet gig in terms of the show, the quality and the amount of time required of me," he wrote. "I can still pursue movies and films since it's just episode by episode contract."

Use to watch Roswell alot but never really knew his real name. I've always referred to him as 'Alien guy', but it's good that Miami is trying new things. Look forward to seeing what works out.

AWESOME! This could so open the door for that CSI:Miami/Roswell crossover I've been dying to write for years.

But I thought Tyler was their A/V tech? What happened to him?

I'll definitely start watching CSI: Miami now with this news. I was totally head over heels over Brendan Fehr back when he was in Roswell.

What a great come- on. lol.

I thought he was totally hot. He sort of reminded me of Fivel Mousekowich in that cartoon "An American Tale", with the cute ears! :p

In all seriousness, I'm interested to see how BF fits into the cast. The show admittedly could use some new blood. I know. I'm the one who harps against cast bloat in Las Vegas.

*walks away with the image of BF singing "Somewhere Out There" in her head*

Actually, I meant Jason Behr, who someone else mentioned... but that's OK. BF can sing it too! :)

OOh! Jason Behr is so cool! I had this crazy crush on him when I was thirteen...and I once got 100% on a compatability test with JB... :D
