CSI Files
Captain
Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) has signed on to star in the film Cielito lindo (or, Beautiful Sky) in which he'll play a gangster's bodyguard who falls for his boss's fiancé.
El Universal Online is reporting that the film will be in English while the filming will take place in Mexico. Rodriguez's character will find himself in peril when he begins a love affair with the gangster's girlfriend.
Rodriguez is excited about the project, calling it a blend of "Pulp Fiction and El Mariachi." Though no date has been set for production to begin, Rodriguez recently wrapped two films that are currently in post-production, Splinter and Thanks to Gravity.
Rodriguez also discussed his feelings about the third season of CSI: Miami, which is set to conclude shortly in Latin America. He noted that he was pleased the writers finally addressed Delko's grief over the death of his good friend and fellow CSI, Tim Speedle, and he also dropped a few teasers about the Miami finale for Latin American fans.
