Rodriguez Scoops Golden Eagle

<font color=yellow>Adam Rodriguez</font> (Eric Delko) was last week recognised for his work on CSI: Miami by the Latino Entertainment Advocacy Group Nosotros.

Rodriguez was among the select company of thespians who received the Oustanding Acting Award at the 34th Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards held at the Beverly Hills Hilton on November 23, Hollywood trade paper Daily Variety reported. <font color=yellow>Freddy Rodriguez</font>, who plays Federico Diaz on Six Feet Under, and <font color=yellow>Eva Longoria</font>, from ABC's new hit series, Desperate Housewives, also picked up a gong each.

Emmy Award-winner <font color=yellow>Hector Elizondo</font>, whose credits include the TV series Chicago Hope and films such as Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries, was honoured with the <font color=yellow>Ricardo Montalban</font> Life Achievement Award for "for life achievement and excellence in his work as well as his commitment and involvement to the community", according to a press release. The 84-year-old Montalban, who founded the Nosotros organisation in 1970 to promote Latinos in the entertainment industry, managed to attend the ceremony despite his ailing health.

Before joining CSI: Miami, Rodriguez was a regular on the third season of the teen sci-fi drama Roswell and starred in the short-lived All Souls. He has also appeared in Felicity, Resurrection Blvd. and made a recent guest appearance on Six Feet Under as a rival for the affection of Vanessa Diaz, the wife of Freddy Rodriguez's character.
