I agree with you on your analysis of the episode. This one really didn't seem to capture me until I watched it.

Elliot Guild made a fantastic casino mogal. I'm sure he was a true rival not only to Charlie Macklin but to Sam Braun.

I like how this episode was sort of Catherine based but not. I really didn't focus that much on her but more like her past or her father's past. I do say it was annoying that Boozell kept calling her 'Sam's Little Girl.' You could tell that she kept getting annoyed at that too. And the fact that she kept referring to herself as a cop. Last I heard she was still the CSI Supervisor. I just makes me laugh because of her relationship with Detective Vartann. ;)

You can also see she was starting to re think her time at CSI. The scene where she pulls out a picture of her and Sam when they were younger and the small flashback.
I'm not sure I'm for her taking over Sam's casinos since she really didn't approve of the way he did busisness, but it's a good transition into if/when Marg leaves the show.

Great review as always.

Great review, Kristine. :)

I was torn on this episode. It was pretty out there, but it was still done in a way that was realistic - as far as the sharks were concerned, at least. A storyline like this would probably be much more ridiculous if done on Miami. :p The girl injecting the victim with heroin to steal her jewelry was really stupid, though. And I'm curious about how well some of the explanations in this one stack up in reality.

It's always interesting to get a glimpse of a character's past on CSI. The guest stars in this one were good (it really goes to show the value of hiring recognizable actors instead of just going for any recognizable name). I was kind of surprised that Method Man had such a small role in this episode - but I guess that's a good thing. They can show a character we recognize without the action being all about him/her. It's a complaint I've had with CSI:NY, so I really can't complain here. (I've been wishing they'd just casually bring back a character like Sam Flack for a scene or two without her being central to the plot, for example.)

Finally watched the episode.I thought it was rather a weak CSI episode when I compare it with the previous week's Shock Waves.

Sara and Greg were almost invisible in this episode:(.But it was a food one for Catherine. The case was one of the most boring cases ever.

I also didn't like the fight between Hodges and Henry:scream:They should handle Wendy's exit better. So sad to see her leave the show.....:(

Great review by the way.:)
