Basketball helps CBS achieve victory, and two new episodes beat the competition.<p>On Monday, <I>CSI: Miami</I> was preempted by the <I>NCAA Basketball Tournament</I>, which earned the top spot at 10:00pm with 16.29 million overall viewers and a 5.9 rating/15 share in the crucial 18-49 demographic. ABC's new series <I>Castle</I> was second with 9.24 million viewers and 2.4/6, and <I>Medium</I> rounded out the hour with 7.15 million viewers and 2.2/5.<p><I>CSI: New York</I> won the hour on Wednesday with 12.52 million viewers and 3.3/9 in the key demo. The series premiere of <I>The Unusuals</I> on ABC came in second with 6.84 million viewers and 2.2/6. A repeat of <I>Law and Order</I> was third with 4.68 million viewers and 1.2/3.<p>The number one spot went to <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> on Thursday with 16.36 million viewers and 3.7/10 among adults 18-49. <I>The Office</I> on NBC had a higher score in the demo from 9:00-9:30pm with 3.9/11, but the network averaged third for the hour with the combination of <I>Office</I> (7.94 million viewers) and <I>30 Rock</I> (6.75 million, 3.1/9). Coming out ahead of NBC's average for the hour was Fox's <I>Hell's Kitchen</I> in second place with 7.59 million viewers and 3.3/9. A repeat of <I>Grey's Anatomy</I> (5.15 million, 1.4/4) and a repeat of <I>Supernatural</I> (2.06 million, 0.8/2) rounded out the hour.<p>In series premiere news, <I>CSI</I>'s new lead-out <I>Harper's Island</I> shared leadership with the new NBC show <I>Southland</I>. <I>Harper's</I> won in overall viewers with 10.49 million compared to <I>Southland</I>'s 9.72 million, but <I>Southland</I>'s 3.2/9 was enough to put it ahead of <I>Harper's</I> 2.7/8 in the key demographic. <I>Harper's</I> was down from the season average for <I>Eleventh Hour</I>, the former occupant of Thursday's 10:00pm timeslot, which pulled 12.05 million viewers and 3.1/8 for its first season.<p>Ratings information for <A class="link" HREF="http://pifeedback.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/63310451/m/265102202">CSI: New York</a> and <A class="link" HREF="http://pifeedback.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/63310451/m/674105202">CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</a>, as well as the <A class="link" HREF="http://pifeedback.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/63310451/m/502108102">NCAA Basketball Tournament</a>, is courtesy of PI Feedback.<center></center>
