The <I>CSI</I> franchise continues to be a contender.<p>On Monday, <I>CSI: Miami</I> earned the top spot at 10:00pm with 13.00 million overall viewers and a 3.9 rating/10 share in the crucial 18-49 demographic. <I>Boston Legal</I> came in second with 8.18 million, the series premiere of <I>My Own Worst Enemy</I> on NBC came in third with 7.30 million viewers, and game four of the NLCS Championship Series rounded out the hour (with an average of 7.28 million viewers for the entire night). In the 18-49 demo, <I>Enemy</I> (3.0/8) came out ahead of game four (2.4/6 overall) and <I>Legal</I> (2.1/8). Compared to a year ago, <I>Miami</I> was down 21\% from 15.59 million viewers and 4.8/12 on October 15, 2007. Compared to last week, <I>Miami</I> was down 620,000 viewers but had a flat 18-49 score.<p><I>CSI: New York</I> was preempted by the third and final presidential debate on Wednesday. CBS came in third from 9:00-10:30pm with 8.91 million viewers (6.80 million at the half-hour) and 2.6/7 in 18-49 (2.1/5 at 10:30pm) behind NBC (10.34 million, dropping to 8.19 million; 3.9/9, dropping to 2.9/7) and ABC (9.66 million, falling at the half-hour to 8.00 million; 2.9/7 to start, dropping to 2.3/6).<p>The second episode of <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I>'s ninth season earned 18.84 million viewers, putting it ahead of <I>Grey's Anatomy</I> (14.57 million). NBC came in third with a combination of <I>The Office</I> with 8.07 million and <I>SNL Weekend Update</I> with 8.61 million, a repeat of <I>Kitchen Nightmares</I> on Fox pulled in a fourth-place 3.45 million viewers, and <I>Supernatural</I> on CW got 3.06 million. In the 18-49 demo, <I>Grey's</I> (5.8/14) came out ahead of <I>CSI</I> (5.1/13), with <I>Office</I>/<I>SNL</I> (both with 4.1/10), <I>Nightmares</I> (1.4/3) and <I>Supernatural</I> (1.2/3) rounding out the timeslot. Compared to the <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/news/121008_01.shtml">season premiere</a> last week, <I>CSI</I> was down 4.14 million viewers, and it was also down in 18-49 after last week's 7.0/17.<p>New drama <I>Eleventh Hour</I> pulled in 12.04 million viewers, beating out <I>ER</I> (8.81 million) and <I>Life on Mars</I> (8.47 million).
