The <I>CSI</I> franchise has done well during the past two weeks.<p>On April 7, <I>CSI: Miami</I> was preempted by the NCAA Basketball Championship Series. Airing from 9:00-11:00pm, the sporting event had an average of 16.55 million viewers and a 6.1 rating/16 share in the vital 18-49 demographic. <I>Medium</I> came in second with 10.72 million viewers and a score of 3.4/9 in 18-49.<p>The new episode of <I>CSI: New York</I> that aired April 9 earned the top spot during the 10:00pm hour with 12.24 million viewers and 3.1/8 in the 18-49 demo. Despite leading the timeslot, <I>New York</I> was down nearly one million viewers from lead-in <I>Criminal Minds</I> (13.14 million). <I>New York</I> was followed by the NBC special <I>Primetime: The Last Lecture – A Love Story For Your Life</I> in second place (8.21 million viewers, 2.7/7) and a repeat of <I>Law and Order</I> (6.19 million, 1.8/5) in third.<p><I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> led the 9:00pm hour on April 10 with 19.93 million viewers and 5.7/14 in the crucial demographic for a new episode. Despite the win in its timeslot, <I>CSI</I> was down 2.25 million viewers and 15% among adults 18-49 year-to-year (and without competition from <I>Grey's Anatomy</I> this year). Coming in behind <I>CSI</I> were FOX's <I>Don't Forget the Lyrics</I> (second place in overall viewers with 10.91 million and third in 18-49 with 4.0/10) and two NBC sitcoms: <I>The Office</I> (a third place 9.22 million viewers and second place 4.8/12) and <I>Scrubs</I> (6.57 million viewers and 3.4/8 in 18-49, coming in third in both categories).<p>This past week, two repeats and a fresh episode came out on top in overall viewers.<p>A repeat of <I>CSI: Miami</I> came in first in overall viewers last week with 10.55 million. <I>Medium</I> came in second with 9.58 million viewers. The two shows switched places in the 18-49 demographic with <I>Medium</I> having a 3.1 rating/9 share versus <I>Miami</I>'s 3.0/8.<p>On Wednesday, <I>CSI: New York</I> was up more than a million viewers from the week before, pulling in 13.35 million viewers and 3.7/10 in the 18-49 demo, earning the series the top spot at 10:00pm. A repeat of <I>Law and Order</I> came in second with 6.20 million viewers and 1.8/5 in 18-49.<p><I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I>'s repeat won in overall viewers on Thursday with 10.69 million. In the 18-49 demographic, however, the crime drama came in third with 2.8/7. NBC sitcoms <I>The Office</I> (9.81 million viewers) and <I>Scrubs</I> (7.31 million) got the top spot in the demo for the hour with scores of 4.9/13 and 3.7/10, respectively.
