Anything regarding Warricks shooting is being discussed in the spoiler lab at the top of this forum. 
As to Gary as stated above he was let go from the show, will he return, who ever really knows, I mean how often have we seen shows where the character is killed and suddenly they come back but as a guest appearance and as another character, or dream sequences, etc. I always say never count them out, but never be surprised if they move on.
