Leaving the bright lights of Las Vegas behind, newly promoted CSI level 4 Warrick Brown is hired as the new Graveyard shift supervisor in the murder capital of the US, Washington DC. Joined by CSI level 1 Veronica Lake, Warrick quickly learns to play the game former boss Gil Grissom never played, politics, as his first case involves the death of a high-profile African-American politician.
As they get used to their new jobs, they find that there is something about the DC CSIs that doesn’t add up. Warrick must navigate the deception from inside the lab and on the streets if he is to survive and Veronica Lake knows that she is a pawn in someone’s game, a pawn who is about to turn the tables.
As secrets come out and truths are laid bare, the Vegas CSIs learn that DC is a town where the cops can be just as bad as the criminals they catch.
