CSI Files

Captain
CBS recently released the official information for this week's new installments of CSI: Miami, CSI: New York and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Tonight, CBS will be airing CSI: Miami's "Identity" at 10:00pm. This is the network's official description of the episode:

When the CSIs find a woman swallowed whole and killed by a gigantic snake, they uncover a covert drug smuggling operation. Evidence leads Horatio and the team to a drug smuggling operation where large snakes are suspected of be being used to bring illegal drugs into the country to avoid detection by customs. However, when Horatio finds that Clavo Cruz, a nemesis of Horatio's who hides behind his diplomatic immunity, may be behind the operation, the team must find a legal way to put the criminal behind bars. Meanwhile, Wolfe must find the truth when two women each claim that they are the real victim of identity theft and the other is the culprit.

"Identiy" was directed by Gloria Muzio, who is making her CSI debut with this episode. She has previously worked on shows such as Law & Order, Oz and The Wire. Writing duties were shared by Miami creator Ann Donahue, who this season also wrote "Lost Son," and Ildy Modrovich, previously responsible for "Legal" and "After the Fall."

The below guest actors will be making an appearance in "Identity:"

[*]Gino Anthony Pesi as Security Guard[*]Rex Linn as Det. Frank Tripp[*]Jud Tylor as Eve Martinkus[*]Brendan Miller as Frat Guy #1[*]Myndy Crist as Karla Gardner[*]Jim Davidson as Rod Merrick[*]Marsh Mokhtari as Maitre'D[*]Gonzalo Menendez as Clavo Cruz[*]Armando Valdes as Aaron Price[*]Ashleigh Ann Wood as Hillary[*]Andrew Davoli as Billy Palmero[*]Alisia Geanopulos as Raver Girl #1[*]Boti Bliss as Valera[*]Sonia Braga as Dona Marta Cruz[*]Castulo Guerra as General Antonio Cruz[*]Joe Michael Burke as Phillip Gardner[/list]

Of the above actors, Linn, Menendez, Bliss, en Valdes are all reprising their recurring CSI: Miami roles, although Armando Valdes' character was called Aaron Peters, and not Aaron Price, during his first appearance in "Crime Wave." For Joe Michael Burke, this is his first appearance on Miami, although he played the role of Carl Kelly in two episodes of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. For Alisia Geanopulos, this is her first credited appearance in a TV series - she was previously a contestant on I Wanna Be A Soap Star.

On Wednesday, fans can expect a new episode of CSI: New York, called "Til Death Do We Part." Take a look at CBS's story synopsis:

When a bride and the doves that were to be released at her ceremony collapse moments before the wedding, Mac and Danny investigate their mysterious deaths. Although the team is anxious to perform an autopsy on the bride, Dr. Hawkes is impeded by the victim’s father, who requests that the body be blessed by a rabbi first. Meanwhile, Stella, Aiden and Det. Flack discover the handless body of an ex-con at a Staten Island monastery that is rumored to be haunted by monks who were once murdered there.

Nelson McCormick made his CSI: New York directorial debut with this episode. He previously directed the original CSI's "Coming of Rage," back in the fourth season. As seems to be somewhat more usual with New York compared to the other two CSI's, "Til Death Do We Part" was written by only one person: co-executive producer Pam Veasey, who this season also penned "Rain."

Below is the list of "Til Death Do We Part" guest actors:

[*]Kelly Hu as Det. Kaile Maka[*]Robin Thomas as Abel Bloom[*]Rick D. Maka in "Tri-Borough." None of the other actors have previously appeared on New York, but five of them did previously guest-star in installments of the other two CSI shows. Robin Thomas played Bret Betancourt in Miami's "Dead Zone," while Sam Huntington made an appearance in this season's Miami episode "Murder in a Flash" as Justin Gillespie. Jim Ortlieb was Winston Barger in the original CSI's first-season episode "Pledging Mr. Johnson," while only a week later Jeff Parise played Ethan in "Friends and Lovers." FInally, David DeLuise was Cliff Renteria in the second-season original CSI installment "Scuba Doobie Doo."

The final new CSI episode of the week will be the original's "King Baby," set to air on Thursday at 9:00pm. Here's what you can expect from the episode:

When a well-known casino owner is found lifeless and stripped of clothing in his driveway, the CSI teams join forces to find the cause of death. Evidence leads them from a furnished adult nursery into the bizarre world of infantilism: men who wear diapers and love to be coddled.

The creative team responsible for this episode should be no surprise: director Richard Lewis and screenwriter Jerry Stahl. The two men have previously been responsible for both "Fur and Loathing" and "Ch-Ch-Changes."
