PLEASE READ - Regarding Photo Comp Pic Sizes

I'm afraid too many entries in the photo competitions are getting too big. Some I get these days are well over 1000 pixels in length and almost the same again in height.

Now, I don't mind re-sizing the odd few every now and again, but it's got to the point where I'm having to re-size about half of all the entries to something smaller, because some people have dial-up internet connections and as massive pics can take a while to load, it's not very fair on them.

Therefore, I've decided on a size limit, and in all future competitions I'm going to ask that all entries are no bigger than 600 pixels in width and 480 pixels in height. That's this big:

Any photos I receive over this size limit I will not accept. I will add this to the rules in the next photo competition.

If you need any help with how to re-size photos, please PM me or post here and someone will be able to tell you how, I'm sure :)

Thanks Wibble. I am frequently on a computer that has super slow dial up. 19K is a good day, do I appreciate you implementing this rule.
 
Roger that.. but uhm.. could you also mention this in your first post when you start a new photo competition, because although I'll try to remember and such, I'm just afraid that I might exceed the limit at one point.
 
^ Sure ;) I think I say in my post above that I will add it to the rules in the next comp, but...never mind :p
 
I apologize if my entries have been too big......I seriously never thought to look at the size. I will make a point to double check in the future.
