CSI Files

Captain
Grissom seeks out an old friend.
William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and Melinda Clarke (Lady Heather) have had an interesting relationship over the seasons on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. "Part of it is a fantasy, and part of it is a real relationship, and therein lies the mystery," Petersen told Entertainment Tonight. Clarke added that she believes Lady Heather is "Grissom's mirror, his female counterpart."
"Grissom is in crisis for several different reasons, and he goes to see her because he hasn't seen her for a long time and he really needs to see her emotionally, I think," Petersen said of the upcoming episode of CSI, "Leave Out All the Rest". "She's a friend, she's someone who he can trust." He went on to say, "I think that my character, Grissom, sees in her an anthropologist. Someone who is so keyed in to elements of humanity that Grissom never has been able to understand."
"Well, I'm a fan of Lady Heather and CSI just as much as anybody," Clarke explained. "Clearly over the years they've been able to put this character into some incredibly extreme situations, and of course when I get the script I'm always wondering, 'What can they do to this poor woman?' The last time we saw her she was suicidal, and this time she's in a better place, let's at least say that." The actress also said, "I think she'll always be a dominatrix, but she might be in a slightly more gentle environment now."
The original interviews can be watched on ET Online.
