CSI: New York writer Peter Lenkov has signed a deal with CBS that'll promote him to series executive producer.

The three year deal also includes a development component for the writer, who joined the series half-way through the first season. During the second season, Lenkov wrote the episodes "Zoo York," "Trapped," and "Fare Game."

Prior to joining CSI: New York, Lenkov served as co-executive producer and writer for the popular series 24, as well as La Femme Nikita and other series.

In addition to writing for New York, he also worked as co-executive producer for the series.
