CSI: Crime Scene Investigation held its place as the most-watched show on Thursday night, leading CBS to a narrow victory over NBC in the overnight ratings.
According to Mediaweek's Programming Insider, "Paper or Plastic" earned a 20.0 rating/28 share in the overnights. This means that last night, approximately 20\% of households in overnight markets were tuned to CBS, and 23\% of households watching television at the time had CSI onscreen.
While this rating is down .1\% from the 20.1 brought in by "Suckers", viewer estimates rose to 30.71 million viewers from 29.55 million last week.
NBC won the adult demographic for the night on the strength of the ratings for Friends in the 8 p.m. hour, though CBS's Survivor: All-Stars brought in strong numbers as well. A 75-minute episode of The Apprentice finished second to CSI with a 13.6/19. At 10, NBC's ER narrowly defeated CBS's Without A Trace.
