Opening credits CSI:M Algebraic expressions

Not sure where to put this post so I started a new one. I was wondering if anyone out there that does screen captures can capture the math equations at the beginning credits for me. It's when the actor is introduced the equation turnes into the actors name. I am sick enough to want to try to solve the equations if they are real ones and not just random numbers.

Well, I don't have caps, but I do know the equations:

David Caruso: 4y - 1 = 3b(Nh)
Emily Procter: 3a1 - X = (A9Xy)
Adam Rodriguez: 3b + N = 7bn1(6A)
Khandi Alexander: 2b + 4a = (7h)3XyNh
Kim Delaney: A1b + B2c = R4
Jonathan Togo: (7b) = 6m + (3h)
Rory Cochrane: (3h) + (7b) = 6

Dutchie, Thank you for posting that. I went ahead and copied the expressions so I can play with them later. I kinda wonder why they used these expressions and whats behind them. Interesting huh?

It may just be a random, them using letters that convert nicely into the letters for the actors names..they don't look like they would be correct algebraic equations at first glance anyway ;)

Jonathan Togo: (7b) = 6m + (3h)
Rory Cochrane: (3h) + (7b) = 6
Actually, I thought Rory's one was: (3h) + (7b) = 6m

which is actually interesting, as Jon's one is the same, just with a different subject of the equation...

Thats a little bit disappointing, because it wouldve been cooler had the equations all been unique...but Jons and Rory's are pretty much the same...
well, maybe thats because Jon replaced Rory, I dunno...

Usually when you see a, b, and c it's in reference to the unknown side of a triangle.

a,b,c: sides of triangle
A,B,C: angles of triangle

x,y,and z are typically used for the co-ordinate system
x is usually the length, y:width, z:height
You usually she (h) in physics for height, sometimes in drawings
n: often seen in calculus when working with limits
N: I usually see as (N!) pronounced 'en factorial'

Seeing Nh together make me think of chemistry, but I'm probably thinking of NHCl

Whatever the equations are they don't make sense to me.

Jonathan Togo: (7b) = 6m + (3h)
Rory Cochrane: (3h) + (7b) = 6

Carlz I think you where probably right with the whole Jon and Rory's are the opposite thing because Jon replaced Rory, it makes sense, I also noticed that the numbers 3,7,4,6, and 2 come up the most. And the letters h,n, and b :shifty:

I wonder why Rex Linn & La Rue still haven't got this algebric thingy?

Kim Delaney: A1b + B2c = R4

That looks more like a vetcoral triangle equation.
R being the resultant of the two vectors 'A' & 'B'.
