Airdate: February 19, 2003
Directed by: Duane Clarke
Written by: Anthony E. Zuiker & Carol Mendelsohn
Duane Clarke helmed CSI: Miami's "Witness To Murder". He has directed numerous episodes of non-CSI series, including Boston Public, One Tree Hill, The Guardian and The Practice.
Anthony E. Zuiker is the creator and executive producer of CSI. His credits include "Evaluation Day", "Revenge Is Best Served Cold" and "Assume Nothing". Carol Mendelsohn is also an executive producer, having written "The Execution of Catherine Willows" and "Blood Lust" among others.
TV Guide has provided a small commentary on the episode:

Providing a glimpse into the personal lives of the CSIs is always tricky. If it's overdone (as with Grissom's hearing loss), it's annoying and distracts from the drama. But if measured out judiciously (like Warrick's gambling addiction), the personal touches add intrigue. Thankfully, tonight's surprising revelations about Catherine (that hefty check her dad gave her comes into play) and Sara offer the right amount of gossipy backdrop to a double homicide investigation involving a Vegas club owner and his ex-porn-actress wife who are gunned down outside of their plush estate.

The guest cast for "Early Rollout" includes Oscar B. Goodman, the real-life mayor of Las Vegas. Other actors appearing in the episode are:
[*]Wallace Langham as David Hodges[*]David Berman as David Phillips[*]Joseph Patrick Kelly as Officer Metcalf[*]D.B. Sweeney (Simon Bishop in CSI: Miami's "Body Count")[*]Renee Allman (Port Charles)[*]James Hyde (Passions, Another World)[*]Nicholas Lea (The X-Files, Andromeda)[*]Kim Coates (Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down)[*]Cory Hardrict (Cold Case, ER)[*]Galvin Chapman (The Practice)[*]Anthony E. Zuiker (Creator of CSI; Casino Cashier in "Ellie")[/list]
