Official Details For Next Week's 'CSI' Trio

CSI Files

Captain
CBS has issued official press releases for all three new CSI episodes airing next week, providing the usual info on the episode's plot, creators, and guest actors.

On Monday at 10:00pm, the network will kick off the CSI week by airing the third CSI: Miami episode of the season, "Prey." This is what you can expect from the episode:

The CSIs must investigate the dark side of Miami's nightclub scene when a teenage tourist goes missing. Sara Jennings was on her way to the Bahamas via Miami for a class trip when a wild night of partying, drinking and sex got out of control. Now, the CSIs must discover who she was with and what happened that night in order to find her. Meanwhile, Horatio's past in New York City resurfaces when an old unsolved case lands on his desk.

The episode's was directed by Scott Lautanen, last year responsible for such Miami episodes as "After The Fall" and "Under the Influence." Writing duties were shared by Barry O'Brien and Corey Miller. O'Brien is a new producer on the show, who previously co-wrote Jerry Bruckheimer's big-screen gem Kangaroo Jack, while Miller has been with Miami since the beginning, and last season worked on episodes such as "Shootout" and "Vengeance."

Below is a list of actors making a guest appearance on "Prey:"

Eva La Rue, Rex Linn, Shelli Bergh, Brendan Fehr, and David Lee Smith will all be playing previously established recurring roles. Only two other actors have appeared in one or more of the CSI shows before: Dar Dixon, who played both Chef Petrov Samsko in the original CSI's third-season episode "Recipe For Murder" and a commission member last year in CSI: New York's "The Dove Commission," and Stacey Travis, who was Chandra Heckman in last year's CSI: New York episode "The Fall."

On Wednesday at 10:00pm, CBS will be showing CSI: New York's "Grand Murder At Central Station," notable primarily for being the very last episode for one of the original series regulars. A small hint at the circumstances of that character's departure is provided in the official synopsis:

While investigating the murder of a plastic surgeon, Mac and Hawkes discover that suspects abound since the doctor had pending lawsuits with patients who sued him for millions. Meanwhile, Stella and Danny delve into the world of cuddle parties while tracking the killer of a blind woman found on a Manhattan rooftop. Stella enlists the help of a sculptor to aid her with a facial reconstruction project that will help nab the suspect. Also, Aiden grows frustrated when she's unable to find evidence to finally send a repeat rapist to jail. And, the CSIs lose a member of the team.

The director of "Grand Murder At Central Station" is Scott Lautanen, mentioned above as the helmer of this week's Miami episode, so he requires no further introduction. Zachary Reiter wrote the episode, after already working on New York episodes such as "Grand Master" and "ReCycling" last year.

The following actors will be making a guest appearance on this New York episode:

[*]Ron Yuan as Dr. Evan Zao[*]David Julian Hirsh as Zack Shannon[*]Ed Quinn as Frankie Mala[*]John Dove as Det. Besides recurring actors Ron Yuan and David Julian Hirsh, six of these actors have a previous connection to the CSI franchise. Ed Quinn last year played Tom Cunningham in the original CSI's "Swap Meet," while Larry Poindexter appeared as Clarke in the fourth-season original CSI episode "Bad Words." Todd Stashwick played Steve Davis in the second-season Miami episode "Invasion," and Francis Guinan was Lawrence Schmidt that same season in "Big Brother." Finally, Paul Wesley played Jack Warner Bradford in last year's "Legal," an instalment of CSI: Miami, and Lauren Bowles was Ellen in last year's original CSI episode "Weeping Willows."

Rounding off the week, as usual, is the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, of which CBS will be showing the new episode "Bite Me." The network described the episode as follows:

The CSI team investigates a wife's suspicious death on a flight of stairs. The overwhelming amount of blood evidence in the case leads Grissom and his team to discover several revealing secrets within this "typical" American marriage -- secrets of adultery, blackmail and a biting fetish that may have ultimately contributed to the housewife's death.

Although this is the first episode directed by Jeffrey Hunt, he's still a CSI veteran, having worked on the show as a camera operator for a number of years, and now apparently having received the opportunity to try something new. The episode was written by Josh Berman, still with CSI despite now also having his own show Killer Instinct airing on Fox, based on a story by Berman and CSI showrunner Carol Mendelsohn.

Below's a list of "Bite Me" guest actors:

[*]David Berman as David Phillips[*]Louise Lombard as Sophia Curtis[*]Wallace Langham as Hodges[*]Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie[*]Archie Kao as Archie Johnson[*]Erik Jensen as ADA Jeffrey Sinclair[*]Jon Wellner as Henry Andrews[*]Reed Diamond as Ray Lester[*]Abigail Spencer as Becky Lester[*]Skye McCole Bartusiak as Susan Lester[*]Alan Rachins as Grandpa Stein[*]Seamus Dever as Adam Gilford[*]Mary Jo Mrochinski as Ms. Karpell[*]Hudson Leick as Dr. Jeri Cohen[*]Jeff Bass as Paramedic Bass[*]Mitchell Fink as Paramedic Fink[/list]

David Berman, Louise Lombard, Wallace Langham, Marc Vann, Archie Kao are all semi-regulars. The characters of Erik Jensen, Jon Wellner, and Mary Jo Mrochinski have also been previously esablished, but were only seen a few times before: Jensen's ADA Sinclair has made three previous appearances, most recently in "Mea Culpa," Wellner's Henry Adrews was first seen in last year's "Iced," and the child advocate played by Mrochinski last appeared in the third-season episode "Blood Lust." None of the other actors have ever worked on any of the CSI shows before.

In addition to these new episodes, CBS will also be repeating the original CSI's "No Humans Involved" on Saturday in the 9:00pm Crime Time repeat block. In this episode from last year, tension rises as the CSI teams adjust to their new assignments while investigating two vastly different murders. Grissom and his team hunt for a killer after discovering the remains of a young boy starved to death and left in a plastic container. Meanwhile, Catherine assumes her new role as supervisor and quickly finds herself at odds with Warrick when he takes an overly aggressive approach in an investigation involving possible police brutality.
