Captain
CBS has issued its official press releases for this week's three new CSI episodes.

Tonight at 10:00pm, CBS will open the CSI week by airing the new Miami episode "48 Hours To Life." This is how the network described the episode:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>After a young man confesses to murder and could fall victim to the county jail system, Horatio and the team must uncover the truth. Despite Tripp securing a written confession from Tobey Hollins who admits to committing murder, the evidence tells Horatio that Tobey is innocent. As Horatio races to prove his innocence, Tobey waits for his arraignment in prison and ends up killing another inmate in alleged self-defense. Now, the pressure is on for the CSIs to find out the true culprit in both cases before the system swallows up Tobey for the rest of his life.

</font></blockquote>The episode was directed by <font color=yellow>Norberto Barba</font>, who last season worked on episodes such as "Shootout" and "Vengeance." The episode was written by <font color=yellow>Marc Dube</font>, who has episodes such as "Speed Kills" and "Recoil" to his name, and <font color=yellow>John Haynes</font>; who co-wrote "Pro Per" and "One Night Stand."

The below actors will be making a guest appearance on "48 Hours To Life:"

<ul>[*]<font color=yellow>Robert Ri'chard</font> as Tobey Hollins[*]<font color=yellow>Sandra Dee Robinson</font> as Patrice Boland[*]<font color=yellow>Skip Stellrecht</font> as C.O. Brendan Fehr, Brooke Bloom, Boti Bliss, and Armando Valdez-Kennedy all have recurring roles on CSI: Miami Of the other guest actors, only two have a previous connection to the CSI franchise, both through CSI: New York. Jason Cerbone played Tony Reanetti in "The Closer," and Dennis Keiffer was one of the skinheads in "Tri-Borough."

On Wednesday at 10:00pm, CBS will be airing CSI: New York's "Zoo York," which will be the first episode featuring <font color=yellow>Anna Belknap</font> in her new role as Lindsay Monroe. Besides her introduction, you can expect the following storylines from this episode:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>When a man is torn to pieces by a tiger at the New York animal conservatory, Mac and Danny must discover who was responsible for getting him there. While investigating a vicious tiger mauling at a New York zoo, the CSIs question the workers at the meatpacking plant the victim owned. Meanwhile, Stella and Dr. Hawkes must solve the murder of a debutante found dead on a Central Park carousel. Also, a new CSI joins the team.

</font></blockquote>"Zoo York" was also directed by "48 Hours To Life" director Norberto Barba, who's thereby replicating the feat of <font color=yellow>Scott Lautanen</font>, responsible for last week's Miami and New York episodes. This episode was written by <font color=yellow>Peter M. Lenkov</font> and <font color=yellow>Timothy J. Lea</font>. Lenkov is one of CSI: New York's new co-executive producers, having previously worked on shows such as 24, The District and La Femme Nikita. Lea has been with New York for a while, and has already worked on episodes such as "On The Job" and "ReCycling."

Below is a list of "Zoo York" guest actors:

<ul>[*]<font color=yellow>Ron Yuan</font> as Dr. Evan Zao[*]<font color=yellow>David Julian Hirsh</font> as Zack Shannon[*]<font color=yellow>Peter Onorati</font> as Angelo Venetti Sr.[*]<font color=yellow>Joel Brooks</font> as Felix Parker[*]<font color=yellow>Rebecca Staab</font> as Jessica Freemont[*]<font color=yellow>Lesli Kay</font> as Tanya Danville[*]<font color=yellow>Gary Wolf</font> as Ryan Knight[*]<font color=yellow>Michelle Ewin</font> as Missy Freemont[*]<font color=yellow>Andrew Fiscella</font> as Mikey D'Amato[*]<font color=yellow>Ross Thomas</font> as Sam[*]<font color=yellow>Micah Beals</font> as Lead Teen Boy[*]<font color=yellow>Ellen Woglom</font> as Briana Freemont
Just like CSI: Miami, CSI: New York is sparse in its usage of CSI alumni this week. Ron Yuan and David Julian Hirsh are of course both semi-regulars this season, but besides them, only Ross Thomas has previously worked on any of the CSI shows before -- he was Trip Wilmont in last season's original CSI instalment "Iced."

A new episode of the original CSI will be airing on CBS this Thursday at 9:00pm. It's called "Shooting Stars," and this is what you can expect from it:

<font color=yellow><blockquote>When one cult member turns up missing at a mass suicide crime scene, Grissom and his team investigate whether the small cult really committed suicide or were murdered. A middle of the night break-in at a suburban home on the edge of the Vegas desert leads the CSIs to discover an abandoned military compound being used to house a small cult. Once inside, they discover a mass suicide has taken place. However, with 11 bodies and 12 beds, Grissom surmises that the killer may be the one body missing.

</font></blockquote>In an unusual move, this episode was both written and directed by executive producer <font color=yellow>Danny Cannon</font>, making this his first original CSI episode since last year's "Swap Meet."

Here's the list of "Shooting Stars" guest actors:

<ul>[*]<font color=yellow>David Berman</font> as David Phillips[*]<font color=yellow>Louise Lombard</font> as Sophia Curtis[*]<font color=yellow>Wallace Langham</font> as Hodges[*]<font color=yellow>Rob Boltin</font> as Mr. Copeland[*]<font color=yellow>Samantha Lemole</font> as Mrs. Copeland[*]<font color=yellow>Ryan Alvarez</font> as Hollywood[*]<font color=yellow>Clea Duvall</font> as Abigail Sinclair[*]<font color=yellow>Hani Furstenberg</font> as Emma Meyers[*]<font color=yellow>Josh Daugherty</font> as Ty Bentley[*]<font color=yellow>Paul Ganus</font> as Police Officer[*]<font color=yellow>Sheeri Rappaport</font> as Mandy Websterk[*]<font color=yellow>James Jordan</font> as Ryan[*]<font color=yellow>AJ Trauth</font> as Dexter[*]<font color=yellow>Molly Brink</font> as Travel Manager[*]<font color=yellow>Tomas Arana</font> as Joseph Diamond[*]<font color=yellow>Jon Wellner</font> as Henry Andrews[*]<font color=yellow>Cassandra Grae</font> as Cult Member #1[*]<font color=yellow>Daniel Graves</font> as Mr. Meyers[*]<font color=yellow>Laurie O'Brien</font> as Mrs. Meyers[*]<font color=yellow>Jeannetta Arnette</font> as Mrs. Spencer[*]<font color=yellow>Corby Sullivan</font> as Cult Member #2[*]<font color=yellow>Jana Camp</font> as Cult Member #3[*]<font color=yellow>Claudia Katz</font> as Cult Member #4[*]<font color=yellow>Meta Golding</font> as Tina Brown
David Berman, Louise Lombard, Wallace Langham and Jon Wellner all have recurring roles on CSI. Paul Ganus also appeared on the show twice before as a police officer, and if you've been with the show since the very beginning, you may recognise Sheeri Rappaport's Mandy from several episodes in the first and second season, beginning with "Anonymous." Three of the other guest actors have previously appeared on CSI: Tomas Arana, who played Mr. Davis in the first-season CSI: Miami episode "Evidence Of Things Unseen;" Laurie O'Brien, who appeared as Mary Hinkle that same season in "Double Cap;" and finally of course Meta Goldin, who previously played Rachel in the first-season original CSI episode "Fahrenheit 932," but will now be beginning her recurring role as Warrick's wife, Tina Brown.

Besides these three new episodes, CBS will be repeating the third-season Miami episode "Identity" this Saturday at 9:00pm. In this episode, the CSIs find a woman swallowed whole and killed by a gigantic snake, leading them to uncover a covert drug smuggling operation. Evidence leads Horatio and the team to a drug smuggling operation where large snakes are suspected of be being used to bring illegal drugs into the country to avoid detection by customs. However, when Horatio finds that Clavo Cruz, a nemesis of Horatio's who hides behind his diplomatic immunity, may be behind the operation, the team must find a legal way to put the criminal behind bars. Meanwhile, Wolfe must find the truth when two women each claim that they are the real victim of identity theft and the other is the culprit.
