Official '10-7' Plot & Guest Cast Info

CSI Files

Captain
From tomorrow on, CSI fans will have to live through at least four months of summer reruns. But before that, they're getting a final chance to watch a new CSI: Miami tonight at 10:00pm, when CBS is scheduled to air the season finale "10-7:"

<font color=yellow><blockquote>While investigating the murder of man hired to make dirty bombs that terrorists intend to set off in Miami, Horatio finds the bloody fingerprint of his brother, Raymond, who he believed to be dead. However, when Raymond's son is kidnapped, he emerges from deep undercover and the estranged brothers must work together to save the boy. Meanwhile, while processing a crime scene, an unknown assailant holds a gun to Calleigh's head and, after a deadly confrontation in her gun lab, she is left doubting that she can continue as a CSI.

</font></blockquote>The CSI: Miami season finale was directed by <font color=yellow>Joe Chappelle</font>, who only a few weeks ago also took the helm for "Recoil." The episode's script was written by showrunner <font color=yellow>Ann Donahue</font> and <font color=yellow>Elizabeth Devine</font>, who also wrote last week's episode, "Whacked." However, the story for "10-7" came from <font color=yellow>Michael Ostrowski</font>, who this season worked on episodes such as "Legal," "One Night Stand" and "Game Over."

"10-7" is the official police communication code meaning "out of service."

Below is a list of the guest stars appearing in this episode:

Holt McCallany, Armando Valdes-Kennedy, Alex Buck, and Brian Poth will all be playing long-established recurring characters. Lance Reddick's character of David Park has appeared once before, two weeks ago in "Vengeance." Tonight's major guest star of course is former Oz actor Dean Winters, playing the brother of Horatio Caine. None of the other actors have ever appeared on any of the CSI shows before.

Following "10-7," CSI fans won't even be able to watch a CSI: New York rerun on Wednesday, as CBS has instead programmed the telefilm Amber Frey: Witness for the Prosecution. In this two-hour movie, The West Wing's <font color=yellow>Janel Moloney</font> plays <font color=yellow>Amber Frey</font>, the lover of <font color=yellow>Scott Peterson</font>, who she later helped to convict for the murder of his wife.

On Thursday at 9:00pm, CSI will be back in the form of a rerun of the original CSI's "Snakes." In this episode, when a dead baby rattlesnake is found in the throat of a decapitated female head, the CSIs are thrust into the dangerous world of narcocorrido, a Mexican music/lifestyle underworld that glamorizes violence and brutality. Meanwhile, a body is found in the front seat of a handicapped van in a casino parking structure where Sofia and Greg find evidence that the shooter may have been confined to a wheelchair.

For the original CBS press releases on both of the above CSI episodes, as well as on the Amber Frey telefilm, head over to the Futon Critic. This has been the last news item on CSI Files covering official episode details for the next four months -- but don't let that stop you from visiting the site over the summer, as we'll continue to bring you news on new actor interviews, new projects by everyone involved with CSI, and of course the first spoilers for next season!<center></center>
