Kind of a stupid question, but what exactly DO all of the numbers mean?

418 is missing people right? What else?

If you mean the abbreviation code numbers that police departments use over the radio, they can vary from one city or state to the next. The ones used in Las Vegas could differ from the ones used in New York or Miami.

Good memory. Back in July we had the thread what r the codes that they use to identify a certain case? A mouth full, but it would not get confused with another television series called "Numb3rs."
