I searched, but couldn't dredge up the thread, it must be too old. I got my DVDs today and I think an ep a day thing is nice for me :)


Flack-where was he? Was he a later cast addition and so didn't come on until Blink?

Danny-I knew he looked way younger then but man I barely recognized him. I did a double take before I realized "oh duh it's Danny"

Mac-He was tieless here so why'd he wear them during the first season? (ETA thanks for answering that, ICSIMFAN)

Hawkes-he's hot no matter what but I like him SO much better after he lost the beard and stubble.

There was definately a contrast between the bright Miami colors and the gritty NY colors.

I had to giggle during Horatio's Lone Ranger thing at the end...almost expected to hear the old "who was that masked man?"

I wish they'd do a crossover where they had more than just one person go to the other city.

I can't wait for Blink tomorrow, it's been so long since I watched that I barely remember anything, but it's creepy from the summary.
 
Flack wasn't in the MIA/NY crossover episode. They didn't cast him until later.

Danny didn't wear glasses in the crossover episode. Maybe that's what made him look younger. He wore them after the season started.

Mac wore ties because most people in his position do. But TPTB decided to loosen him up for season 2. I like tieless Mac better. He looks much more relaxed.

NY started out with that gritty looking blue to show a difference between NY and Miami. It only lasted 5 or 6 episodes. It was funny when Horatio got to NY and was in the apt building where Mac was examining the body. It was all gritty and blue but there stood Horatio in full color.

It was strange how Horatio disappeared at the end. Mac turning around and he was gone.

I'd love to see Miami go back to NY only this time I'd like Horatio to take Calleigh with him. If NY went back to Miami, I'd like Mac to take Danny.

It's been a while since I've seen Blink. Might have to break out my season 1 dvd's
 
Just a note to add to the stuff about Mac and the ties: After they filmed the Nonstop episode, a real NY detective said that Mac would always wear a tie--that's why he wore one throughout season 1. ;)
 
Yes, I remember Zuiker said that (in the "Blink" commentary if I'm not mistaken) and Gary got excited about it; that Gary also said that Reagan never took off his tie in office (or something to that effect).
 
Yeah i heard they had originally cast someone else for Flack, but then casted Eddie.

They were just about to offer the part of Flack to somebody else, and then Eddie came in to audition and to quote the commentary for Blink "We fell in love with him on the spot"

The CSI-M intro episode is on the S1 DVD's? It's not on the R2 version. Not that I'm complaining...no Flack, no way!
 
Yeah, it's there on the R1. It was advertised in the back of the Dead of Winter novel....although they said "Cross Jurisdictions" and I'm like "that was Miami, people, not NY" With commentary, I think. Although it doesn't look like there's star commentary on any of them. Maybe S2...
 
Cool. I'm SO buying R1 DVDs... I've watched this episode only once and in Italian so I'm dying to watch it again.
