The Northern Light reports that Louise Lombard will reprise her role as Sofia Curtis during the tenth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
I included this, but I'm not 100% sure it's accurate. Has anybody heard the same thing from a different source?

BTW, that CSI manga? I'm not sure how confident I should be when one of the panels they show in the YouTube clip mentions a "grizzly" murder. Um, where's the bear? Grizzly =/= grisly

Last I night was wondering if Sofia was going to be in season 10. Guess this answers my thoughts. Regarding the CSI manga, there was a preview of it in the newest novel "Brass in Pocket". It looks interesting, so I'll pick it up when it comes out and see what it's like.

I'd be interested to know if that news about Louise Lombard is true. Will be keeping my eyes peeled!

It's possible that maybe the news wasn't supposed to be released yet and this Canadian source outed it early? Who knows?

I hope it's true though. It's about time we had Sofia back.

lately i felt like there was a little too much testosterone on CSI. Riley wasn't very impressive and so there was just Catherine and a load of guys on the show. having Sara and Sofia return at the same time is a great move to bring back both some estrogen and the old feel to the show. plus i love the relationship Brass and Sofia have. all this makes me a little excited about the new season. :) which is huge, since i was mainly a Grissom fan.

There definitely isn't enough girl power on the show. I like my eye candy as much as the next girl, but I still would like some more girl power as well.

As for Riley, honestly (as much as I liked her) I do think that the character might have worked better as a detective rather than a CSI. I think it's unfortunate that they brought her in when they did (when it coincided with Ray's entrance). She never really had a chance.

It might have been better if after Sara left and after Warrick's death, they had just let Wendy become a CSI and brought Riley in as a detective on a recurring basis. That way, no one would have felt like she was replacing Sara and/or Warrick. Wendy was an already established character that is fairly well liked, so people wouldn't have seen her as a replacement or an outsider.

Wendy seems like a pretty strong woman, but isn't featured enough. I hope that in the new season, she has a bigger role and is featured more. She's a great character and has been there for a while. They need to do more with the character. I'll never understand why they have a character mentioning that they're interested in maybe being a CSI someday, but then seemingly drop that storyline altogether. I guess characters aren't the only things being swallowed up by that black hole of continuity, the storylines are as well.

I really do hope that the news of Sofia's return is true. At first I was annoyed with her character when she was flirting with Grissom. Later though, I grew to like the character. And I agree about the relationship between Brass and Sofia. I loved that dynamic. Reminded me a little of Hunter and his female partner whose name I cannot recall at the moment. McCall, maybe? I hope that if Sofia returns, that she will do so while Sara is back because I always liked Sofia and Sara's scenes together too. I could see these two being good friends. :)

I've been searching around on the internet trying to see if I could find any confirmation about Sofia's return, but so far I've come up empty. :(

Don't know whether this changes if she's on CSI or not but according to TV Guide Magazine (scroll down a bit) the official line for her not being on NCIS Los Angeles is "creative differences and the producers deciding to go a different way." :shifty: They don't confirm or deny whether she's going to be back on CSI.

Re: Louise Lombard, this was posted on Ask Ausiello (spoilers for various shows, etc etc):

Question: A Canadian paper reported recently that Louise Lombard is set to return to CSI this season. Is this correct? —Anne

Ausiello:
It most certainly is not. A CSI insider says it “hasn’t been discussed.”
Darn.

On the one hand I was excited to have Ausiello answer my question - on the other, I was hoping for a different answer, lol
