As CSI Files previously reported, lawsuits were filed against CBS Corp, Planet Toys and several retailers because tests determined that the CSI Fingerprint Examination Kit contained asbestos. A proposed settlement was reached last week in the class action suit. If passed, the settlement would provide refunds and implement a nationwide recall of the kits.

CSI: New York star Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) denied rumors that he wanted to pursue a political career or run for president. "That's kinda silly," the actor told Ask Stacy. "I'm not considering running for president." He added, "I remember what Bob Hope said about it when they asked him the same question — 'I don't think I'd want to. They don't pay enough and the house is too small.'"

Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation actress Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) was made an official Animal Defenders International (ADI) Ambassador this year. She wrote a letter to Bolivian president Evo Morales to congratulate him for his country's recent legislation to ban animals in travelling circuses. In her letter, Fox wrote, "The fact that Bolivia will be the first South American country with a national ban on animal circuses, including both wild and domesticated species, is a tremendous credit to the compassion and progressive thinking of yourself and your nation." - Well that is definitely scary to hear about asbestos being in kids' toys o_O

- Funny. I really don't see Gary as being a presidential type person, although I think he'd do a good job. But I love his quoting there  Very nice.

- That's kind of cool that Jorja's helping protect animals. I'm a bit of an environment person, mostly when it comes to the circuses and having animals in them, so kudos to her :)
