Advertisements for Simpsons cost $20-40 per thousand viewers on TV, but the rate online is $60 per thousand viewers. One reason for this disparity is that viewers are more likely to recall online ads than television ads. It really annoys me that the CSI: NY DVDs always feature just Gary and Melina. The first few seasons of CSI and CSI: Miami, the whole cast were featured prominently on the cover, where as on NY not one season has there been a DVD set where the whole cast has been featured on the cover.

If you want to market a DVD, in which show's whole cast is appreciated (well, most of them anyway ;) ), then put them on the damn DVD.

i'd really like to see the full cast on the cover also i know stella and mac are the main people but it is a team after all

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the whole team is on the cover of the season 1 DVD set. Or at least the one my sister has. Keep in mind that the cover art isn't final.

Other things I want to comment on:

- I think I remember TV ads more than online ads. I don't remember a time this past season I didn't wait until after the episode just to see if there was a commercial for the next episode. I could actually quote some of them after seeing them a few times. I don't remember online ads at all.

- It's really nice to hear that Emmanuelle still loves her hometown :) I think everyone should remember where they came from and be proud of it and Emmanuelle has just done that.

The last few seasons of CSI: Vegas have only featured Grissom and Catherine on the covers..well Grissom and Catherine-Season seven, Grissom, season eight and now Grissom, Catherine and Ray on season nine.

I don't know what's up with whoever produces the CSI covers, it's pretty lame if you ask me.

Totally agree. On an ensemble show, the cover art for the DVD set should feature the ENTIRE cast. Period!
