<ul><li> <I>Entertainment Tonight</I> went behind the scenes to check out how <I>CSI: Miami</I> filmed the explosion from the latest episode, <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/miami/season7/tipping_point.shtml">"Tipping Point"</a>.<p>The video can be viewed at <A class="link" HREF="http://www.etonline.com/news/2008/12/68905/">ET Online</a>.<p><li> <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> was one of only three scripted programmes to make <A class="link" HREF="http://www.thrfeed.com/2008/12/nielsens-year-e.html">Nielsen's 2008 Top 10 list</a> for regularly scheduled shows. <I>CSI</I> was number seven with 8.1% of US homes, putting it behind freshman CBS drama <I>The Mentalist</I> (10.0%) and ahead of another CBS show, <I>NCIS</I> (8.0%). <I>The Mentalist</I> was the only CBS drama to make the list for the Top 10 time-shifted primetime programmes, coming in ninth with a 13% increase in viewers when time-shifting was taken into account.<P><li> <I>CSI</I>'s <font color=yellow>Marg Helgenberger</font> (Catherine Willows) came in at number 37 on <A class="link" HREF="http://www.foxnews.com/photoessay/0,4644,5952,00.html#37_1540">FoxNews.com</a>'s "40 Hottest Over-40 Hotties" list.<p><li> A handheld x-ray machine called the Nomad has been featured on <I>CSI: New York</I>. The Nomad was developed to be used in poor countries and can operate hundreds of miles away from electricity. (<A class="link" HREF="http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=5037845">Source</a>)<p><li> <font color=yellow>Laurence Fishburne</font> <A class="link" HREF="http://www.gmanews.tv/story/139514/PEP-Jay-wins-Special-Mention-Award-in-the-Bahamas">said he is most recognized</a> as Morpheus from the <I>Matrix</I> movies, but he hopes more people start to recognize him as Dr Raymond Langston, the character he just started playing on <I>CSI</I>.<p><li> According to <A class="link" HREF="http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117997430.html?categoryId=14&cs=1">Variety</a>, Fishburne has signed a first-look deal with CBS Paramount TV (the producer of <I>CSI</I>) to develop television projects with his production company Cinema Gypsy.<p><li> <b>Spoiler alert!</b><p><font color=yellow>Michael Weston</font> has been cast as a con man in an upcoming episode of <I>CSI</I>. To scam the people around him, the character juggles different personas, including a movie producer, a real estate mogul and an art dealer. The charismatic criminal catches the attention of the investigators when he becomes a killer. Weston's episode is expected to air in March.
