[*]<font color=yellow>Eddie Cahill</font> (Det. Don Flack) has a small part in the new movie Lords of Dogtown, which will hit theatres next week. The movie tells the story of the skateboarding and surfing trends that surfaced in the 70s in Venice, California. Head over to Eddie Cahill Online to see two pictures of the actor at the premiere.
[*]<font color=yellow>Khandi Alexander's</font> sitcom NewsRadio is now available on DVD. The 1995 comedy series followed the whacky antics of a group of eccentric people that worked at a news radio station in New York City. Alexander played feisty news anchor Catherine Duke. NewsRadio starred Celebrity Poker Showdown's <font color=yellow>Dave Foley</font>, ER's <font color=yellow>Maura Tierney</font> and the late <font color=yellow>Phil Hartman</font>.
[*]Two new faces have been tapped to exec the drama series development department at CBS. <font color=yellow>Robert Zotnowski</font> and <font color=yellow>Christina Davis</font> will now work under <font color=yellow>Laverne McKinnon</font>, senior VP of the department. Zotnowski, the network announced, has been partly responsible for the CSI franchise's success, while Davis brought the show Without a Trace to the network's attention, and helped launch CSI, Without a Trace, and Cold Case.
[*]CBS head honcho <font color=yellow>Les Moonves</font> recently discussed the possible split of Viacom. Moonves announced the network could benefit from the separation. "I can tell you if this happens, it will be very positive for us," he told the Hollywood Reporter. "The key here is we have a much better control of the creative process."
[*]While the Hollywood Reporter sees two major Emmy nominations in CSI's future (news), TV Guide has guessed the procedural drama will receive no nominations this year. The magazine's dream ballot includes Best Drama series nominations for Deadwood, Lost, 24, Veronica Mars, and The Wire, and Lead Drama Series Actress nomination nods for <font color=yellow>Kristen Bell</font>, <font color=yellow>Glenn Close</font>, <font color=yellow>Evangeline Lilly</font>, <font color=yellow>Molly Parker</font>, and <font color=yellow>Joely Richardson</font>. The Emmy nominations will be announced on July 14th.

[*]<font color=yellow>Jenna Boyd</font>, otherwise known as Sasha Rittle from the CSI/Miami cross over "Cross-Jurisdictions" can now be seen in the new movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. "It was fun filming with <font color=yellow>Amber Tamblyn</font> because I've never really worked with teenage girls. I've always worked with adults. It was definitely fun and Amber was a very nice girl," she told Coming Soon.

[*]<font color=yellow>Richard Lewis</font>, director, writer, and producer for CSI, recently visited Westbrook Walnut Grove to teach students what it's like in the filmmaking arena. "It has been quite an experience working with Richard," one of the students said. "It has been amazing. I didn't realize how many shots a single scene takes. We re-do a lot of stuff. I wasn't expecting to film that many things."

[*]The Boston Police Department will this summer create a CSI unit compromised of six criminalist. Until now, the BPD had relied on its police officers to collect evidence, which delayed the crimes' investigative process. Experts revealed that the creation of the unit in Boston is long overdue.
[*]School's out for summer, but that doesn't mean children will stop learning. In Bogalusa, Louisiana, several schools will be offering a Summer Forensic Investigations Camp, or CSI camp, to students entering 6th and 7th grade. And in Grand Rapids students aren't just learning the art of crime scene investigation, they're building careers around it.[/list]<center></center>
