<ul>[*]Sunday evening between 8:00 and 9:30pm, PBS will be broadcasting the 2005 National Memorial Day Concert that will be held on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, and will feature a performance by the Lt. Dan Band of CSI: New York star <font color=yellow>Gary Sinise</font> (Mac Taylor). More information can be found on the PBS site.

[*]And Sinise briefly talked about his Memorial Day performance with Zap2It. "[It's] really the least I can do, if I can get out there and shake a few hands and sign a few autographs and play some music," Sinise said. "It's a very good feeling to know there's something I can do with my celebrity that will be valuable to somebody else, especially somebody who's volunteering to defend our country."

[*]The National Film Theatre in London will be organising two CSI events this July as part of its annual Crime Scene season. On the 1st of July, the Theatre will host the UK premiere of the CSI season finale, "Grave Danger," followed by a Q&A session, while a day later they will be organising a more general Q&A session. Both events will be attended by CSI showrunner <font color=yellow>Carol Mendelsohn</font> and finale director <font color=yellow>Quentin Tarantino</font>. [*]The Visual Effects Society has announced the full schedule of this year's VES-VFX Festival of Visual Effects in Santa Monica, revealing that the visual effects artists of all three CSI shows will share the stage at 5:00pm on the first day of the convention, between 5:00pm and 6:30pm.

[*]Former CSI guest star <font color=yellow>Danielle Panabaker</font>, who appeared in the third-season original CSI episode "Play With Fire" has won praise from the Mercury News for the "strong impression" she gives in the new HBO miniseries Empire Falls.

[*]<font color=yellow>Marg Helgenberger</font> (Catherine Willows) reportedly attended the final episode of this season's American Idol, telling reporters she was a fan of losing finalist <font color=yellow>Bo Bice</font>.

[*]New photos of <font color=yellow>William Petersen</font> (Gil Grissom) and his wife <Font color=yellow>Gina Cirone</font> enjoying an evening in Rome are available at the William Petersen Appreciation page.

[*]In an artical on the Albany-based Capital News 9, real-life forensic investigator <font color=yellow>Jeffrey Ullman</font> notes that CSI is wrong for giving the impression that whatever you touch, you always leave a fingerprint behind. Ullman said that some people simply don't sweat enough, and that rough surfaces like leather prevent good contact. "I could process your personal car, put it downstairs in the garage and go through it, and I may not come up with your print."

[*]Variety has an article on the sudden resurgence of Hollywood production company New Regency, which is soon hoping to get a cinema hit with Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but is also the company behind The Gate, the new crime show by CSI writer <font color=yellow>Josh Berman</font>.
