CSI Files
Captain
September will see the release of CSI: Dominos, the first installment of a comic book series that will find the Las Vegas CSIs investigating killings perpetrated by a murderer that author Kris Oprisko promises will shake even the normally even-keeled Gil Grissom.
Comic Book Resources reports that the first installment, CSI: Dominos #1, which is being published by IDW, will retail for $3.99. Prior to beginning work on Dominos, Oprisko penned a CSI: Miami comic, Thou Shalt Not. Gabriel Rodriquez, a regular CSI illustrator, and Steve Perkins will be responsible for the artwork in the comic.
Oprisko is looking forward to shaking up the Las Vegas CSIs with the brutal murders in Dominos. "I had a great time working on CSI: Miami, and now I get to turn my attention to the Las Vegas gang,” Oprisko commented. “Gil Grissom’s a cool customer, but even he’s going to be shaken up by the villain in this one!"
Author Max Allen Collins who has written both tie-in novels and comics for CSI and CSI: Miami will still be penning CSI comics, albeit stand-alones while Oprisko's series runs. "I’m thrilled to be aboard for more CSI with IDW—the initials have it!" he said.
