Milos Heads North

CSI Files

Captain
Sofia Milos trades Miami for Toronto.

Milos is familiar to fans of CSI: Miami for her role as Yelina Salas on the forensic series. She will be starring in a new action drama called The Border. The series is produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and also stars James McGowan and Graham Abbey as part of the ensemble cast.

Milos will play Bianca La Garda, a special agent working for the Department of Homeland Security. Bianca's father is Cuban and her mother is Italian. The family immigrated to the United States and became proud Americans. In The Border, Bianca and her fellow agents patrol the boundary between the United States and Canada.

The issues dealt with in The Border are inspired by real headlines. Brian Dennis and Emmy-winner Peter Raymont act as the show's executive producers. The show is mainly filmed in Toronto and Ottawa. Milos said that she is proud of The Border and it's cast and crew, and she went on to say that she "will be filming through Dec 12th in Toronto. Which by the way is a beautiful city."

The original news came from the What's New section of Milos' website and The Star.

Oo...

Agreed with xfcanadian, I don't see this lasting too terribly long. :p CBC isn't known for their er...Quality television.

However I'll be looking forward to seeing this when it hits the air. Seems like an interesting concept--at least it's never been done. I'm just wondering how much you can do with a show revolving around the border between the US and Canada even if the stories are ripped from the headlines. Oh well, I'm a fan of Sofia so it'll be good to see her in something, anything!

What's it going to be, Americans sneaking across the border to get cheap meds? *is shot*

I kid, I kid! :p
