I was rewatching the Miami episode Golden Parachute on DVD and noticed something about the clip of Won't Get Fooled Again that they used for the theme. I noticed that they used a slightly different part of the song as compared to every episode after, I was wondering did anyone else notice this or is it just me. If you want to hear it well I'd recomend watching the DVD.

I think the process of creating theme music for a new series can be quite the complicated task when you're not sure how to flow different parts of music together and accord it to the visuals. I think they did an alright job on the first episode, but it did seem like they weren't sure how to mix it all together, but threw something in just to establish the music they were going to use for the opening credits. (Doesn't seem like they spent a large amount of time on it)
They didn't have the scream, but then the middle part was the same as the rest of the episodes, and then they used the very end of the song (right before the five beats and even then, there were only three after the fact) which I thought seemed out of place. That type of song is quite hard to flow together when you're trying to fit the best possible parts in a 25-30 second span.
It is interesting how it's changed though and how nicely the music is put together now.
