'Miami' Finishes Right Behind 'Idol'

CSI: Miami was CBS's top-rated show for the week ending May 30th, with its final pulling in over 20 million viewers, ahead of every other show that week, save the two final airings of American Idol on Fox.

<A class="link" HREF=http://www.sfgate.com/tvradio/nielsens/">SF Gate</a> estimated that "Innocent" pulled in 21.3 million viewers total. CSI: Miami moved up six slots from the previous week, when it was the number nine show of the week. American Idol's penultimate broadcast pulled in 25.1 million viewers on Tuesday, while the final results show drew 28.8 million viewers on Wednesday.

<A class="link" HREF=http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271|88556|1|,00.html">Zap2It</a> noted that CBS finished in second place overall for the week, earning a 6.3 rating/11 share, to number one Fox's 7.0/13. The Eye network averaged 9.57 million viewers.

A rerun of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation also landed in the top ten, in the number six slot. CSI drew 14.9 million viewers. Four other CBS shows landed in the top ten for the week as well, including Everybody Loves Raymond (in at number four), Two and a Half Men (number five), Without a Trace (number eight), and StilL Standing (number ten).
