Miami CSIs Take 'The Oath'

CSI Files

Captain
Horatio Caine will have the unpleasant task of investigating the murder of a close friend and police officer in the upcoming CSI: Miami episode, "The Oath".

The victim-of-the-week, officer Nick Porter, was shot four times by his assailant, according to CSI Files sources. Even so, he still managed to drive his squad car for 10 minutes before attracting the attention of a fellow motorist who called an ambulance. Unfortunately, he was dead by the time the paramedics arrived.

Nick's death hits Horatio hard — the lead CSI attended his son's baptism only the week before. But before the day is out, Horatio finds himself questioning whether he actually really knew Nick when it turns out the police officer regularly associated with a prostitute and her pimp.

Meanwhile, Calleigh and Delko have two cases to contend with. The first is quite routine concerns a woman found dead in a bathtub. The second case, however, comes from the land of weird — Alexx finds a girl, Vanessa Brand, alive in the morgue's freezer! Vanessa had been declared dead in car accident, but was in fact only suffering from hypothermia.

But Vanessa doesn't simply get a hot drink and ride home. She's the prime suspect in an investigation into the death of her girlfriend...

Sources have also revealed additional details about episode eighteen, entitled "Wannabe". The B-plot reportedly sees Calleigh and Delko investigating the death of a woman, who was murdered after buying a winning lottery ticket. In the course of the investigation, we learn that the normally unflappable Calleigh Duquesne has an ant phobia!

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from an early draft of the script and details may change before the episode goes to air.

"Wannabe" and "The Oath" will likely air later in 2004.
