Spoiler: Finale speculation...

My first thought when I saw Officer Metcalfe in the cast list was to look at Joseph Patrick Kelly's IMDb page and confirm how long he's been part of the show - sure enough, he's been around since the pilot. I wonder if they're bringing him back to ultimately kill him off in the finale as mentioned here?

I guess we'll see. I always felt like the spoilers were carefully worded (TV Guide wrote "A cast member who has been a part of the show since Season 1"). A lot of people have assumed it would be a major character, but the original spoilers don't actually state that, so my thought is that it would more likely be a minor character.
