This entire thing is horrible...I just heard the news on another forum and I am shocked. Though I did not know Jen, I really feel bad about this. My condoleances to her family and friends.

You took the lyrics right out of my mouth jorja_fan86... Whenever I'm going through tough times (for example, the anniversary of 9/11), I listen to that song (the live version) and I just can't help but break down. It's just so beautiful and I probably want it to be played at my funeral one day. Other songs that always seem to speak to me in these times are "Pacing the Cage" by Bruce Cockburn:

Sunset is an angel weeping
Holding out a bloody sword
No matter how I squint I cannot
Make out what it's pointing toward
Sometimes you feel like you live too long
Days drip slowly on the page
You catch yourself
Pacing the cage

I've proven who I am so many times
The magnetic strip's worn thin
And each time I was someone else
And every one was taken in
Hours chatter in high places
Stir up eddies in the dust of rage
Set me to pacing the cage

I never knew what you all wanted
So I gave you everything
All that I could pillage
All the spells that I could sing
It's as if the thing were written
In the constitution of the age
Sooner or later you'll wind up
Pacing the cage

Sometimes the best map will not guide you
You can't see what's round the bend
Sometimes the road leads through dark places
Sometimes the darkness is your friend
Today these eyes scan bleached-out land
For the coming of the outbound stage.
Pacing the cage
Pacing the cage.

and "This Year's Love" by David Gray:

This years love had better last
Heaven knows it's high time
I've been waiting on my own too long
But when you hold me like you do
It feels so right ah now
I start to forget
How my heart gets torn
When that hurt gets thrown
Feeling like yuh can't go on

Turning circles and time again
It cut like a knife oh now
If you love me got to know for sure
'Cause it takes something more this time
Than sweet sweet lies oh now
Before I open up my arms and fall
Losing all control
Every dream inside my soul
When you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain't this life so sweet

This years love had better last
This years love had better last

Cause whose to worry
If our hearts get torn
When that hurt gets thrown
Don't yuh know this life goes on
Won't you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain't this life so sweet

This years love had better last
This years love had better last
This years love had better last
This years love had better last
This years love had better last
Woah ah yea
This years love had better last

You should definitely listen to these songs if you haven't already. I'll be back later to post a poem or two of my own. Stay strong everyone!

CSI_trainee, that was a very good speach. I cried about her accident too. I havent even said anything to her, but it affected me so much. I couldnt sleep last night, so I listened to some Michelle Branch, and just layed their and cried. I thought about all the things she didnt get to experiance in her life, because of someones stupid choice.

R.I.P Jen

I have not been able to confirm this (I have the girl's full name, school, home town, etc.) I have family and genealogy connections in her neck of the woods. There has been no obit, no news article on the accident.

In fact, there is strong evidence that things are not what they seem. Therefore, until I am satisfied one way or the other that this is verified, I am closing this. I'd prefer things to settle until I know one way or the other.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
