Lawrence Visits The Dark Side

CSI Files

Captain
Actor Joey Lawrence, best known for Blossom fame, is doing a three-episode arc on CSI:NY. The three-episode arc in which Lawrence plays serial killer Clay Dobson began this week.

The actor describes the character he plays. “Whatever goes through the mind of a serial killer – that’s what this guy is all about. By day he’s very reserved and very confident and works at an architectural firm, and by night he turns into this monster and preys on young women. It’s not something I can relate to but he’s very dark and disturbed and it was really interesting to go there. It was a cool character to play.”

He enjoys playing both the light and the dark roles. “I want to make the transition into movies, and it would be great to save the world in Die Hard, and it would be great to then be Hannibal Lecter. You’re lucky if the cards fall right, and if the blessings come then you get the opportunity to do both.

Lawrence is not only a guest star on CSI:NY, he’s also a fan. He enjoys CSI:New York and CSI:Miami for what they represent – “good writing, good directing and good acting.”

Joey did a fantastic job as Dobson, and I'm interested to see if all we get in the other two episodes is flashbacks, or possibly new stuff we didn't see this week. ;)

I hope he has good luck finding movie roles. He certainly has the talent. :D
