La Rue: It's An Exciting Season

CSI Files

Captain
One Miami CSI visits the Big Apple.
CSI: Miami actress Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) made an appearance on the Early Show in New York City. La Rue lived in New York while she worked on All My Children, so the visit felt like a homecoming. "It is, it's like coming home," she said. "I got to see some of my soap buddies this weekend. I saw Aiden Turner yesterday. I had dinner with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who played my brother for five years on the soap. Yeah, so it's been really fun to see everybody."
La Rue now lives in Los Angeles, where she films Miami. "We shoot in LA," she explained. "We only go to Miami twice a year [for] the first episode and the last episode of the season. And then they cut in all of their footage into the other episodes."
The actress talked about the season premiere of Miami, "Resurrection", which airs on September 22. Season six ended with Horatio Caine (David Caruso) being shot. "We're trying to get to the bottom of who killed Horatio and why, and it looks not so good for Ryan Wolfe [Jonathan Togo], like he might be implicated in some way and we're not sure what his involvement is," she explained. "Also we get a new medical examiner because Khandi [Alexander] left last year. It's been a good, new exciting season. Lots to watch."
La Rue said fellow castmate Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) is her shopping buddy. "Isn't she the sweetest thing? She's so funny," La Rue said. The actress also did an impression of Horatio's famous stance as he takes off his sunglasses and gives his classic one-liner. "I call it the Terminator phrase because it's like the 'I'll be back' phrase," she said.
