Is William/Grissom leaving the show?

In one of the most recent episodes, I'm sure of saw Grissom holding a letter that had the word sabbatical written on it, is he leaving the show?

Right now only for a couple eps...not sure come S8 though.

I hope not, he is a very important character/actor for the series, he is a foundation character for the series.
He is heavily involved on the production side, maybe it is too stressful, but I feel it would be a mistake to lose Grissom from ANY episodes.
Let us hope that he continues to entertain and enthrall us all in the coming weeks

He is taking a break for the next 5 weeks, to do a play then he will be back until his contract is up.
