The flagship series airs the only new episode this week.<p>On Monday at 10:00pm ET/PT, <I>CSI: Miami</I> was preempted by a repeat of <I>The Mentalist</I>.<p><I>CSI: New York</I> will not air on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT. Instead, CBS will air two episodes of <I>Criminal Minds</I> from 9:00-11:00pm ET/PT.<p>Thursday finds the <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> team looking into the past in <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season9/if_i_had_a_hammer.shtml">"If I Had A Hammer"</a> at 9:00pm ET/PT:<p><dl><dt><dd><font color=yellow>Catherine revisits one of the very first cases she worked as a CSI when the convicted felon in the murder (guest star Henry Thomas) claims the verdict was based on faulty evidence.</font><p></dt></dl><p><font color=yellow>Brad Tanenbaum</font> has directed three previous episodes of <I>CSI</I>, including <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season9/woulda_coulda_shoulda.shtml">"Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda"</a> earlier this season. The story for this episode was written by <font color=yellow>Daniel Steck</font>, who has no previous credits for the series. <font color=yellow>Allen MacDonald</font> and <font color=yellow>Corinne Marrinan</font> wrote the teleplay. MacDonald has written twelve episodes, most recently <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season9/kill_me_if_you_can.shtml">"Kill Me if You Can"</a>, and Marrinan has two writing credits for <I>CSI</I>, including <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season9/deep_fried_and_minty_fresh.shtml">"Deep Fried and Minty Fresh"</a>.<p>"If I Had a Hammer" will feature the following guest stars:<p><ul><li><font color=yellow>Archie Kao</font> as Archie Johnson<li><font color=yellow>Marc Vann</font> as Conrad Ecklie<li><font color=yellow>Henry Thomas</font> as Jeremy Kent<li><font color=yellow>Charlotte Ross</font> as Sabrina Owen<li><font color=yellow>Adolphus Ward</font> as Thomas Harrott<li><font color=yellow>John Prosky</font> as ADA Vanderpool<li><font color=yellow>John Bain</font> as Tyler Owen<li><font color=yellow>Mark Totty</font> as Clint Owen<li><font color=yellow>Steve Seagren</font> as Middle-Aged Detective<li><font color=yellow>Brooke Newton</font> as Sabrina Littee</ul><p>Archie Kao and Marc Vann are reprising established recurring roles. John Prosky was in the <I>CSI: NY</I> episode <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season2/necrophilia_americana.shtml">"Necrophilia Americana"</a>. Mark Totty also appeared on <I>New York</I>, in <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season3/murder_sings_the_blues.shtml">"Murder Sings the Blues"</a>.
