Usually, questions about avatars or other problems with the board are handled in the QSF (Questions, Suggestions, and Feedback) section of the Main Index. If the moderators need to, they will move it.
As you can see, the software for the board is slightly different. It was changed about three weeks ago. The avatar probably dropped off at that time. You can go to User CP on the menu bar at the top of each page, then click on Edit Avatar. But now you can upload it directly to this site rather than host it on another site.
If you had already placed an avatar to this site, it might have been too large in pixel size or byte size. Or the mods may have thought it was inappropriate for a board with some PG-13 rules.
